Hello friends! I am so super excited about the Spellbinders May 2018 Small Die of the Month Club Kit Dies! Border line greeting dies are some of my all-time favorites for their versatility and these four border line greetings do not disappoint! For only $7.50 + shipping you get these four amazing dies and get started with the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club. It is fabulous! I paired the greetings from the May kit with the adorable Hip Llama Dies and fun, punny llama greetings from a Technique Tuesday Lorenzo the Llama Stamp Set!
The background for each card was stamped with the Simon Says Stamp Reverse Polka Dot Background Stamp using Simon Says Stamp inks in Melon, Duckling, Surf Blue, and Velvet Orchid.
The Spellbinders May 2018 Small Die of the Month Club Kit Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock and Black Licorice Cardstock. The white border was slightly offset from the black border to create a shadow effect and help the greeting stand out from the background. Greetings from the Technique Tuesday Lorenzo the Llama Stamp Set were stamped on the white border below the die cut greeting and the borders were adhered to the bottom edge of each polka dot background panel as shown.
The Hip Llama Dies were die cut from Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt, Paper Bag, and Black Licorice Cardstock. The blankets die cut from Raspberry, Canned Pumpkin, Cilantro, and Peacock Cardstock. The llama was inked with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks and the blankets inked with white pigment ink to add depth and dimension.
The llamas were assembled and tucked under the edge of the greeting border. Glossy Accents was added to the sunglasses and once dry highlights were added with a white gel pen.
To add a pop of color to each background, Honey Bee Stamps Kiss Me Candy Hearts were adhered next to the stamped greeting and then to the polka dots in the background.
I think it would be fun to create a set of these cards to give as a gift! I love making multiples and this design is great for putting together assembly-line style.
