Hello die cutting friends! I'm super excited to be sharing a couple of elegant layered frame cards using the Spellbinders April 2018 Large Die of the Month Club Kit dies. The awesome Large Die of the Month Club Kit is $20 + shipping and is an incredible value! Click HERE to sign up now. There are six amazing dies in the April Kit and they are gorgeous, detailed, and oh-so-elegant! There are so many amazing ways to use these dies. Today I'm going to share how I made these springtime hello cards.
The background for each card was trimmed down to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to a white side fold and top fold card base, respectively. This instantly adds a nice mat to the background.
The rectangle and circle floral frames from the Spellbinders April 2018 Large Die of the Month Club Kit were die cut from Pastel Metallic Foil Cardstock in mint and coral. The inside die shapes were die cut from the center of each to create a frame. The large floral frames were die cut again from vellum.
The frame was adhered slightly offset over the vellum background to create a subtle shadow. Greetings from the Hero Arts Hello Stamp and Cut were stamped in the center with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
The framed up greetings were adhered to each background with foam adhesive to pop it up off the patterned background a bit.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Pale Gold were adhered to the center of the flowers as shown. I love how the gold of the Nuvo Crytal Drops picks up the gold embossing of the sentiments.
Each card was finished with a trio of Honey Bee Stamps Be Mine Candy Hearts.
