Today I'm sharing a custom stamped and stenciled mother's day card featuring the new Love You Mama Stamp Set and coordinating dies and Tap Dance Stencil. I love creating my own "patterned papers" and the floral images paired with the simple design of the stencil create the perfect backdrop for the greetings.
The flower images from the Love You Mama Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock with Onyx Black Versafine Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink was applied through the Tap Dance Stencil over the top of the floral background to add interest and distressing to the design. I didn't want to go crazy with the distressing on a more modern looking and bright and cheerful card so I opted for the bright green Distress Oxide Ink to keep with the theme and style.
The "mom" greeting and butterfly from the Love You Mama Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Onyx Black Versafine Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The shapes were also die cut from Fun Foam backed with Stick It Adhesive. The images were adhered to the front of the Fun Foam die cuts and then adhered directly to the background as shown. By popping them off the background a bit, they stand out more than if they were applied directly to the busy background.
An additional sentiment from the Love You Mama Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, cut into a thin strip, and adhered below the dimensional sentiment.
The front panel was adhered to a white top fold card base and the design was finished by stamping an additional sentiment from the Love You Mama Stamp Set to the inside of the card.
