I'm still loving shaped cards and Honey Bee Stamps still creates the best shaped card designs! Today I have a donut shaped card with the new Pinky the Pig paper pieced die cut popping out from the center of the donut holding a supersized Hooray Die Cut. I love how easy it is to create amazing cards with only die cuts!
The base of this awesome shaped card was die cut from Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt Cardstock using the Donut Card dies. I inked the front of the shaped design with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink, spritzed the card with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel.
The frosting layer was die cut from Chocolate Bar Cardstock and inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink before being glued in place on the front of the Donut Card. The frosting layer was die cut again from smooth white cardstock, Sunflower Cardstock, Raspberry Cardstock, Fake Tan Cardstock, and Mermaid Cardstock. I doubled up the "sprinkles" and glued them in place on the donut.
Pinky was die cut from Ballet Slippers, Paper Bag, and Black Licorice Cardstock. Pinky was inked with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink and adhered to look like she's popping out from the center of the donut!
The Hooray For You Dies were die cut from Mermaid Cardstock and smooth white cardstock, layered, and adhered so it looks like Pinky is holding the "Hooray" like a banner.
A white gel pen was used to add detail to the die cuts as shown. White Blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops was used to give "Hooray" subtle sparkle and shine. A fine tip black pen was used to create eyelashes on this cute pig!
The inside of the card was finished by stamping greeting from the Donut Worry Stamp Set using Mermaid Ink and Ballet Slippers Ink.
