Mixing and matching critters or images is one of my favorite card-making techniques. Today I'm sharing this Animal Parade card featuring the new Mama Elephant Animal Parade Stamp Set and coordinating dies mixed with a raccoon from the Rowdy Raccoon Stamp Set and birds from the Tea With Friends Stamp Set.
Two rectangles were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the largest of the new Basic Rectangles dies for the background of my card. From one of the rectangles, two Grassy Trio borders were die cut for the bottom edge of the card.
The background panel was inked with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink and then Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink was adhered through the Tim Holtz Rays Stencil for the two-tone sunshine sky. The background was spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer for additional distressing.
The two grassy borders were inked with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink and adhered along the bottom edge of the background.
Critters and images from the Animal Parade Stamp Set, Rowdy Raccoon Stamp Set, and Tea With Friends Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock using Jet Black ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Animal Parade Dies, Rowdy Raccoons Die, and Tea With Friends Dies. The banner was customized with a greeting from the Animal Parade Stamp Set.
The music notes, balls, and remaining greeting from the Animal Parade Stamp Set were stamped directly on the inked background.
Glossy Accents on the balls, noses, beak, and music notes finish this adorable scene card!
