Hello! Today I have a simple card share for you featuring the new Mama Elephant Oh Happy Day Stamp Set! I thought it would be fun to create a simple almost one layer design with stenciling, stamping and embossing. Lucky Clover continues to be a favorite ink color, bright and fresh and perfect for warmer temps!
I used the Simon Says Stamp Leafy Frame Stencil and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink to create the colorful masked background. I sprayed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer, blotted it dry, and then used a heat tool to make sure the background was completely dry before moving on to the next step.
I stamped the large scripty greeting from Oh Happy Day in the center of the card with Lucky Clover Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to "set" the ink. I slightly shifted the paper in my MISTI, stamped the greeting with clear embossing ink and sprinkled on white embossing powder. This gives the greeting the look of having a green "shadow"!
Flowers and leaves from the Oh Happy Day Stamp Set were stamped with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Lucky Clover, and Blueprint Sketch Inks and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to set the ink.
A sentiment phrase from Oh Happy Day was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card with foam adhesive.
The design was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White and Morning Dew.
