Mixing and matching stamp sets is one of favorite things to do. Today I'm revisiting the Rowdy Raccoons Stamp Set and pairing these cuties with birds from Tea With Friends, strings of lights from Swinging Borders, and Grassy Trio Borders. A greeting from the Hello Friend Wishes Stamp Set gently curved to fit the design of the strings of lights is the perfect finishing touch to this card.
The background was stenciled with the Simon Says Stamp Clouds For Days Stencil on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink.
Borders from the Swinging Borders Stamp Set were stamped over the stenciling using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. What I love about using water based inks on Bristol Smooth Cardstock is that you can color directly over the stenciling with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once the strings of lights were colored, I added a layer of Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard for subtle sparkle and shine.
Raccoons, a wagon, and ducks from Rowdy Raccoons and birds from Tea With Friends were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Rowdy Raccoons Dies and Tea With Friends Dies.
A greeting from the Hello Friend Wishes was stamped along the bottom string of lights as shown.
Borders were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Grassy Trio Dies and inked with Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks before being adhered to the bottom of the background scene as shown.
The images were adhered in place to finish the card.
