You guys probably already know I'm obsessed with the entire Picture Book Die Collection at Simon Says Stamp. In fact, I'm linking to more cards created with these amazing dies further down in my post, if you've missed some. These little cuties are so much fun to create with and make the most amazing cards! The Picture Book Otter, Woodgrain Block, and Whoa You're Amazing greeting die make the most adorable scene when paired with the Waves and Hills stenciled background.
The background was created from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked with the Waves and Hills Stencil and Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks.
The wood "log" was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Woodgrain Block Die and inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink and adhered along the bottom edge of the scene. An additional "wave" or "water" was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Drifting Stitches Border Die and inked with Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks.
The Picture Book Otters were die cut from Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Cardstock, Vanilla Malt Cardstock, Ballet Slippers Cardstock, and Black Licorice Cardstock. The otters were assembled and adhered in place as shown.
For the die cut greeting I die cut the Whoa You're Amazing die from smooth white cardstock and backed the greeting with foam adhesive. I die cut the greeting from Lawn Fawn Cilantro, Mermaid, Peacock, and Blue Jay Cardstock and Simon Says Stamp Mint Cardstock. I inlaid the colorful letters in the white die cut greeting and adhered the sentiment to the card as shown.
An additional sentiment from the Emphatic Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card.
The design was finished with a scattering of Honey Bee Stamps Be Mine Candy Heart accents.
