For our May release, we are celebrating motherly love with the layering Carnations (stamp, die, combo), the uplifting Always (stamp, die, combo), and the unique garden spirits set called Let Love Grow (stamp, die, combo). Also included in this release is Salty Kisses (stamp, die, combo) for the up coming wedding season and Sweet Ice Cream (stamp, die, combo) for summery everyday projects. Matching dies are available separately or with the stamps as combos. The stand-alone Sun Shine Panel Die works great with all stamps in this release or any other bright and happy images you may already have.
Today I'm pairing the new Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and coordinating dies with the Apartment Builder Dies from last month's release for an adorable ice cream shop scene card! The label from the previously released Morning Love Stamp Set is the perfect signage for the ice cream shop!
I built the background scene for the card first, die cutting the Apartment Builder Dies from Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Raspberry, Mermaid, and Peacock cardstock and Really Rainbow patterned paper. The dies were adhered to a white top fold card base with some of the elements being adhered with thin foam adhesive strips for dimension.
A sign was created for the shop by stamping the label from the Morning Love Stamp Set with Like A Pro Ink. The sentiments from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set were stamped on the label with with Tickled Pink and New Fish In Pond inks. The label was die cut with the coordinating Morning Love Die and adhered to the ice cream shop as shown.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White were applied to the awning of the shop and Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the signage and the curtain bands.
Images from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to appear sitting on the window ledge, hanging out the window and along the bottom edge of the card.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the ice cream treats for a sparkly finish. Black and white jelly roll pens were used to add detail to the images as shown.
