Hello, hello! I've been wanting to create a card (or two) with the Flower Petal Card dies from Honey Bee Stamps. But.... I couldn't figure out what I wanted to make. Or how to design the card. Does that ever happen to y'all? One day it occurred to me that the size and scale of the Flower Petal Card was perfect for both the Little Ladies and Build-A-Bees. I curved the Love Bug sentiment to flow with the design of the card and just like that, these cuties came to life! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them. Let's get started...
The base of the card was created from Gina K Turquoise Sea Cardstock using the Flower Petal Card card die. The flowers for each card were die cut from the flower bases and petals using Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy Cardstock and Gina K Wild Dandelion Cardstock. The petals were inked with Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks. The flower petals were die cut from Lawn Fawn Cilantro Cardstock, inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, and tucked around the flower. The flower centers for each card were die cut from Gina K Passionate Pink Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Ground Coffee Cardstock.
The greetings from the Love Bug Stamp Set were stamped around the circle shape of the flower center to flow with the design better.
Details were added around the flower centers with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Carnation Pink and English Mustard. Woodland Green Nuvo Crystal Drops were used on the leaves.
The ladybug from the Little Ladies Stamp Set and a bumblebee from the Build-A-Bee Stamp Set were stamped with Jet Black Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Little Ladies Dies and Build-A-Bee Dies. The images were adhered to the flower centers with foam adhesive.
