Bright and fun is the name of the game with July's Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! I am totally digging the new 6"x8" One Cool Pineapple Stamp Set included in the kit this month and decided to pair the fish and bubble images from the set with my favorite Waves Stencil, Distress Oxide Inks, and some fun embellishing!
The fish from the 6"x8" One Cool Pineapple Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and masked with my favorite masking paper. The Waves Stencil was stenciled over the masked fish using Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks. Once the stencil was removed, I filled in the white areas with more ink from the ink blending tools and then spritzed the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry with a paper towel.
Once the background was dry, a greeting from the 6"x8" One Cool Pineapple Stamp Set was stamped on the background with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. An additional sentiment from the Messages For Everyday was stamped underneath the larger greeting using Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink.
The masks were removed and the fish colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The fish and bubbles were adorned with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White.
