Today I'm sharing a couple of cards with backgrounds created with die cut images! How cute are these backgrounds created with the Indie Collection Fruit Salad, Tropical Pineapple, Coffee Time, and Hello Expressions dies. I just love this new collection from Spellbinders!
The background for both cards was created by die cuting the Coffee Time, Fruit Salad, and Tropical Pineapple images from solid cardstock (the colors I used are linked below in supplies). One some of the images, especially the ones with embossing, I added a bit more detail and dimension with Distress or Distress Oxide Inks. The fruits and coffee and donut images were assembled and adhered to their respective backgrounds as shown. I made sure to fill in the entire card front for the most impact.
The Hello Expressions greeting die was die cut from gold mirror and silver mirror cardstock and adhered to the vellum die cut shadow layer. I love how the layer helps the greeting pop off the busy background.
An additional sentiment phrase from the Hello Expressions Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink, trimmed into a thin strip, and adhered below the die cut greeting with foam adhesive as shown.
