As a coffee lover myself, I am so super excited about the August My Monthly Hero Main Kit and Add Ons! Today I have focused all my projects on the Main Kit, supplementing with just a couple add-ons here and there. The Add Ons are soooooo good, you guys! I'll be sharing more cards with those later this month so please be sure to subscribe HERE to never miss a post! Let's get started with these rainbow-inspired coffee lovers cards!
My first card features images and greetings from the Main Kit Stamp Set, stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies from the kit. The images were stamped with greetings from the stamp set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. The yellow coffee cup was stamped with a small heart using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and colored in with a red Zig marker.
The Distressed Tile Bold Print background stamp was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and cut in half. One half of the patterned strip was adhered to the bottom edge of a side fold card base. We will use the other half for the next card!
The coffee cups and mugs were adhered along the top edge of the stamped pattern strip, slightly overlapping as shown.
A sentiment from the Main Kit was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark Ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a thin strip, and adhered right under the coffee cups to help divide the top from the bottom of the card.
My second card features the same design as the first, except I traded a couple of the coffee cups from the Main Kit with the adorable kitten in a cup from the Kit-Tea Stamp & Cut Set! I love how the size and scale of the image works perfectly with the images from the Main Kit! I'm a big fan of not letting stamped parts and pieces go to waste and this was a great way to use up the second half of the Distressed Tile Bold Print background without creating the exact same card again!
My third and final card share today, features a one layer card created by stamping a single coffee cup image over and over all over the background. Tiny hearts fill in some of the white space around the design. The same Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers were used to add color to the design and a color was of gray ink added color to the background. The foam on top of all the cups was stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with the White Puff Embossing Powder.
