Scene cards are my favorite. Underwater scene cards are even more so. Today I'm sharing this Lawn Fawn underwater scene with a sentiment incorporated into the design of the card. I've mixed and matched lots of my favorite stamps to create this sweet scene!
The background of the card was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die. Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks were applied to the background and spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer. Once dry, a Honey Bee Ocean Scene Builder stencil was applied over the background with white pigment ink.
A frame was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using the Bayou Backdrop Die. The frame was inked with Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks. A border was die cut using a Simple Stitched Hillside Border and inked with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink.
Two white Bayou Backdrop frames were adhered over the background, finishing with the inked frame and the "sand" border as shown.
Fish and images from the Fintastic Friends, So Jelly, Duh-Nuh, You Are Sublime, and Mermaid For You stamp sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers before die cutting the images with the coordinating dies.
Greetings from the Duh-Nuh Stamp Set were stamped on the background with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were adhered to the scene as shown, some with foam adhesive, some with glue dots.
