Hello! I'm back with another card idea featuring components from the September 2018 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, Sea Treasure! I can't get enough of the amazing Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set included in the kit. Today I'm sharing one of my all time favorite techniques, a one layer tri-fold masked scene card!

This tri-fold card features a matching stamped envelope plus I used lots of the products included in the September kit! In addition to the Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set I used the new Clear Embossing Ink, Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink, Treasure Chest Sequins, Mermaid Blue Embossing Powder, and Metallic Lavender Envelope.
A piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock was trimmed to 5 1/2" tall by 12". The images from the Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and masked with Simon Says Stamp masking paper.
The background scene was inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, the waves were inked with Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink using the Waves Stencil, and the sand along the bottom was inked with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink using a Waves and Hills Stencil.
Once the background was completely stenciled, I removed the masks and colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The mermaid tail was embellished with a Versamarker and the Mermaid Blue Embossing Powder.
White pen detail was added to the hair on the mermaid's hair and a black pen was used to add detail to all the eyes. Bubbles were stamped on the background and embellished with Glosssy Accents.
The Treasure Chest Sequins were adhered to the background with Ranger Multi Matte Medium. Greetings from the Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set were stamped with the clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To create the coordinating envelope, images and greetings from the Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set were stamped on the Metallic Lavender Envelope with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
