The size and scale of the adorable images in the new Santa's Sleigh Stamp and Die set are perfect for creating a full size scene on a card front. I paired these images with the new Galactic Cover for a snowy background and cloud borders from the Landscape Trio Dies.
To create the background, I die cut a snowy background from smooth white cardstock using the Galactic Cover. I used Post It Tape to mask off the edges from the stitching line out and inked the background with Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks before splattering the background with watered down Picket Fence Distress Paint. Once dry, I adhered the panel to a white side fold card base.
Cloudy borders were die cut from vellum and smooth white cardstock using a Landscape Trio Die. A sentiment from the Santa's Sleigh Stamp and Die set was stamped on the smooth white border using black ink and the clouds were adhered along th ebottom edge of the background with foam adhesive.
Images from the Santa's Sleigh Stamp and Die set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intense Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The "Merry Christmas" greeting from the Little Santa Agenda was used to customize the sign. The images were adhered to the scene as shown, popping up the sleigh and reindeer with foam adhesive.
"Reins" were added by gluing thin hemp to the scene. Glossy Accents was added to the sign pole, Santa's glasses, and the red nose. Pale Gold Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the reindeer collar and the reins. White Blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the cut out holes in the snowy sky and the snow on top of the sign. A Marvy Snow Pen was used to add dimension and texture to Santa's hat and outfit.

Mama Elephant is bringing us today's highly anticipated exclusive limited edition stamp/die set for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember with Merry Mail! If you loved the Little Santa Agenda or the newly released Little Elf Agenda, you're going to need this adorable set to use with those! I paired these images with the On the Hills Dies, some cloud stenciling, and absolutely ZERO masking. I can't wait to show you how I made this card!

I started my card I stamping the sentiments and images from the Merry Mail Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock. I decided to create dimensional borders for the top and bottom of the card using the On The Hills cloud die so I die cut those from smooth white cardstock and added some stamping to those as well. I stamped the parachuting elf on a scrap of smooth white cardstock to fussy cut the parachute.
I colored in the Merry Mail images with Copic Markers. I adhered the cloud borders to the design with foam adhesive and fussy cut the one parachute and adhered it with foam adhesive as well.

I'm sharing this clean and simple Holiday Die D-Lites Etched Snowflakes Card today but I will be sharing additional card examples from the A Sweet Christmas by Sharyn Sowell and Holiday Die D-Lites in upcoming videos soon! I can't wait to share what else I've made with Christmas-themed dies from Spellbinders!
Because my card is pretty straight forward and simple I opted to not do a video today. Even though this card wishes everyone a white Christmas, I think a rainbow-colored one is a-ok, too! ;)
*Also, I didn't notice until after I edited the photos that the rhinestone on my purple snowflake shifted. Dude, so annoying! I fixed it but opted to just leave these photos. Because.... real life! Creativity is real and not perfect. ;)
I started with a 4" x 4" square of Bristol Smooth Cardstock, inking the background with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks, spritzing the background with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted it dry with a paper towel.
The Holiday Die D-Lites Snowflakes Etched Dies were die cut from a rainbow of cardstock, eight snowflakes in total, were assembled in a circle or wreath shape and adhered with foam adhesive. I cut apart Scrapbook Adhesives foam adhesive squares to fit these intricate snowflake dies.
A sentiment from the Mama Elephant Merry Greetings Stamp Set was stamped on vellum using clear embossing ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered over the snowflake wreath as shown.
I finished the snowflakes with a scattering of Honey Bee Stamps Rhinestones and adhered the entire panel to a white 4 1/4" square card base.

Even with lots of white space on a card, a scene can pack a lot of punch! "Framing" up this scene strip with decorative edged die cut borders, adding sentiments below the scene, extending an element slightly above the top strip, and even adhering the top and bottom panels with foam adhesive all help to showcase a mini scene strip perfectly!
A background was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the Portrait Snowfall Backdrop and inked with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks. The die cut background was adhered to a white top fold card base, allowing the white from the card base to show through the die cut "falling snow".
Another panel of smooth white cardstock was trimmed into a 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip and another 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip. A Stitched Border die was used to create a decorative edge of both strips.
The two panels were adhered to the card base using foam adhesive to slightly pop them up and frame up the falling snow.
The village image from the Simply Celebrate Winter stamp set and the hearts, trees, and chimney smoke images from the Winter Village Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The village, hearts, and smoke were popped up with foam adhesive and the trees were adhered with glue dots. The trees help to fill in the scene "edge to edge". I trimmed the excess.
The design was finished by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard to the hearts, snowy rooftops, and the Snowfall Backdrop die cut holes. Glossy Accents was added to the windows and a black glaze pen was used to add detailing to the doorknobs on the houses.
