Beautiful flowers are one of my favorite images to watercolor. I wanted to step up my favorite watercolor technique today but creating a split panel design. That little split is the perfect spot for these Tiny Words sentiments!
I trimmed a 1/4" strip from an A2 sized panel (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") of Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 die. I love that with border dies you can make this strip any size you need! Simple border dies like this are some of my very favorite!
Using the panels as a guide, I stamped sentiments from the Tiny Words sentiments stamp set directly on a card base with Versafine Onyx Black Ink as shown.
Masking off the edge of each panel with post it tape, I stamped the Pansies images with clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder before watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.
Once dry, I flicked Brushed Pewter Distress Paint over the panels and let the paint completely air dry before adhering each section above and below the stamped sentiment with foam adhesive strips.
