When I'm creating a clean and simple design like my card today I like to add an element that "dresses up" the design. For this card, it's this embossed frame around the outer edge. It adds that immediate "wow" factor without the bulk of layers!
I embossed an A2 sized panel of smooth white cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Frames Dies. In order to emboss with these dies instead of die cut, I used the tan embossing mats with my die cutting machine. This opens up a whole other option for your frame dies! You can create embossed frames so super easy!!!
I stamped the greetings in the center of the embossed frames with Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Slate dye inks.
The greenery on the card was stamped with Mint Candy, Teal, and Mint dye inks.
The yellow flowers were stamped with Lemon Chiffon and Duckling dye inks.
The pink flowers were stamped with Rosie Cheeks and Hollyhock dye inks.
The orange flowers were stamped with Melon and Coral Reef dye inks.
The bird was stamped with Hollyhock and Magnolia dye inks.
Love giving my gorgeous ink pads a workout! ;)
