Today I'm sharing both a Happy Birthday card and a Congrats card featuring lots and lots of fun die cuts! The Big Picture Book Koala and Big Picture Book Lion were both used with the Big Picture Book Big Body. The Big PIcture Book Cupcake and Happy Hearts dies are perfectly sized to fit in the critters paws!
A subtle Reverse Polka Background was stamped for both cards: one in Cotton Candy Ink and one in Sea Glass Ink. I love the subtle pattern background opposed to a plain cardstock.
For the birthday card, the Big Picture Book Koala and Big Picture Book Big Body were die cut from gray and black cardstocks, assembled and adhered to the light pink polka background as shown. The Happy Birthday dies were die cut from bright cardstocks and adhered along the bottom edge of the design. The Big Picture Book Cupcake was die cut and tucked into the arms of the Koala.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry, Ripened Pumpkin, Dandelion Yellow, and Caribbean Ocean were applied to the cupcake as "sprinkles". Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the word "happy". Glossy Accents were applied to the word "birthday". A sentiment from the Punny Animals Stamp Set was stamped on Black Licorice Cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting was trimmed into a thin strip and adhered along the bottom edge of the card.
For the congrats card, the Big Picture Book Lion and Big Picture Book Big Body were die cut from yellow cardstocks, assembled and adhered to the light blue polka background as shown. The Congrats dies were die cut from bright cardstocks and adhered along the bottom edge of the design. The Happy Hearts was die cut and tucked into the arms of the Lion.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the word "congrats".
