Critters in sweaters, a miniature Winter Scene, and CZ Design hanging ornaments are the focus of today's holiday card making projects!
Let's start with these darling Critter Sweaters! The images from the Critter Sweaters dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock, their faces stamped with the coordinating Critter Sweaters images and then colored with Copic Markers and customized with the Critter Sweaters borders stamps. On the polar bear I stamped the sweater with Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Lipstick Red inks. For the cat and bunny I stamped the borders over the copic coloring with clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder. How much fun are these dies and stamps?!!!! I couldn't pick between the three cute critters and used all three for my card!
The background was created with by stamping the new Mod Trees Background on Simon Says Stamp Smoke Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Picket Fence Distress Paint was watered down and splattered over the background for "falling snow".
A 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" border was trimmed from smooth white cardstock and adhered to the bottom of the trees background. The critter sweaters were adhered to the card. A sentiment border was die cut from Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock using a new Holiday Words On A Line die.
Additional sentiments from the Tiny Words Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into thin strips, and adhered to the design with foam adhesive as shown.
This Winter Scene in miniature is so cute! I stamped the images from Winter Scene on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, colored in the images with Copic Markers (including the night sky on the background), and die cut the images with the coordinating Winter Scene Dies.
The background was created by stamping the Outline Snowflakes background stamp on smooth white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks were applied over the embossing for embossed resist and the background was adhered to a white top fold card base. The center of the circles were embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard for a glittery finish.
The Winter Scene was assembled and adhered to the center of the Outline Snowflakes background using foam adhesive on the back of the panel.
Sentiment phrases from Winter Scene were stamped on Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock using clear embossing ink, heat set with white embossing powder, trimmed into thin strips, and adhered to the scene with foam adhesive. "Merry" from the Ornamental Stamp Set was stamped with clear embossing ink on smooth white cardstock, heat set with Hero Arts Red Embossing Powder, die cut with the coordinating Ornamental Die, and adhered to the card as shown.
Falling Snow was created by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss White to the background scene, Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the stars and moon, and the Marvy Snow Marker was used to create snowy texture to the top of the house.
These graphic ornaments agains a bright green background are so fun and festive just like this release! ;)
For the background I inked up a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" smooth white cardstock with Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. The new Line Circles Stencil was and Lucky Clover Distress Ink were used to stencil over the background for a subtle tone-on-tone pattern.
Greetings from the Ornamental Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom edge with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Three ornaments from the Ornamental Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being inked with Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. Additional images from ornamental were stamped and embossed on each ornament and the images were "hung" from the card panel with foam adhesive and gold thread. Gold bows were glued to the top of each and Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were scattered throughout the design.
I can't wait to see what you all create with the stamps, dies, stencils, and watercolor cards from the Fun & Festive Release! Happy Crafting!
