Today I'm sharing a couple of Christmas-themed holiday cards featuring foiling! The new Spellbinders Glimmer Foil System makes foiling all the things so easy. This new system is meant to work with your Spellbinders Platinum or Platinum 6 as well as many other die cutting machines! The Warm Winter Wishes Glimmer Plate snowman card is mostly foiling with a bit of additional die cutting and embellishing for a very clean and simple design. The second card features a foiled and die cut Ho Ho Ho Glimmer Plate sentiment set against a buffalo check stamped background and adorned with the die cut reindeer from the November Small Die of the Month Club Kit! I hope these examples show how easy this new system is to use whether you're creating clean and simple or you want to combine with other elements!

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a 5x7 scene card featuring stamps and dies from the recent release, Deerly Loved! I paired the deer, presents, owl, and ornament images from the Silent Night Stamp Set with the amazing new Threshold Card dies and more for my scene card.

I started my card by building the background and finished with the cute colored and die cut images. To give the die cuts more of the same detailed colored and shaded look of the images, I die cut the Threshold Card Dies and Bunch of Bouquets Dies from smooth white cardstock and customized the die cuts with Copic Markers.
I created a 5x7 card base by trimming smooth white cardstock to 10" x 7" and scoring in half. I added brick detail to the card base with the Tim Holtz Bricked Stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Ink.
The door, wreath, holly & berries, mail slot, and steps from the Threshold Card Dies were all die cut from smooth white cardstock, colored in and customized with Copic Markers, and adhered to the card as shown. The door handle from the die collection was die cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered to complete the door.
The "hello" greeting from the Threshold Card Die Set was die cut from gold foil cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and adhered to the center of the wreath for the greeting on the front of the design.
A planter was die cut from smooth white cardstock using dies from the Bunch of Bouquet Die Set, colored in with Copic Markers, and adhered to the front steps as shown.
The branch from the Silent Night Stamp Set was stamped with brown ink and adhered inside the planter.
The ornaments, deer, owl, and presents were stamped on smooth white cardstock with a black ink, colored n with Copic Markers, die cut with the coordinating Silent Night Dies and adhered to the scene.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to the holly and berries, bow, ornaments, and presents for a bit of holiday sparkle!
The inside of the card was finished with a stamped sentiment from the Welcome Home Stamp Set.

Hello! Today I'm sharing 10 cards created with the Spellbinders November 2018 Card Kit of the Month. By limiting myself to the supplies from the kit (the kit is jam-packed full of amazing product), I was able to make ten cards in record time and I can't wait to show you the amazing results! The exclusive reindeer dies included in this kit are my favorite! You'll see that since I used them in four of the ten cards I'm sharing!
Y'all, I just heard from Spellbinders that the November Card Kit sold out, however you can still get the kit if you're a Kit & Caboodle Value Club Member (that is the Card Kit of the Month, Small Die of the Month Club Dies, and Large Die of the Month Club Dies). If you're not a Kit & Caboodle Value Club Member, I highly recommend it! Amazing value for $55/month. Get all the details and sign up HERE.

The Card Kit comes with ten card bases and ten envelopes and I challenged myself to create ten cards with this month's kit. With the amount of product you receive in this kit, this is only a fraction of what you can create with it!
It's no secret that the dies in each month's card kit are my favorite! The dies in the November Kit make creating the most wonderful reindeer faces a snap. I can't say enough great things about these dies! How cute are these faces against a text patterned paper background?!!! Paper and die cut sentiment border are from the kit. The "Season's Greetings" sentiment was die cut from the gold mirror cardstock included in the kit which was adhered to Fun Foam and Stick It from my stash before being die cut.
I used the red, green, brown, and black cardstocks from the kit were used to die cut most of the pieces for the reindeer faces. I die cut the inside of the ears, cheeks, and part of the face from the white cardstock in the kit and added color with Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Antique Linen.
Distress Ink in Ground Espresso was used to darken the antlers. Fired Brick was used to add dimension to the red die cuts. Mowed Lawn was used for dimension on the green die cut pieces.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the cheeks. Glossy Accents was added to the noses and antlers on each die cut face.
I'm addicted to die cutting elements completely from smooth white cardstock and adding color with Copic Markers. See THESE cards here using Spellbinders Die D-Lites for similar cards. This deer was colored in with Copic Markers before being adhered to a white card base and a glittery sticker sentiment and stars were used to finish the design.
The monthly card kits include awesome pre-made die cut images. I love grouping these together for a big impact! I used the foiled die cuts, layered chipboard die cuts, patterned papers, glitter washi tape, enamel dots, and more from the kit for these!!!!
I'm sending all my cards from today's post to Vera Yates Caring Hearts Card Drive. Cards need to be received by November 10 so they need to be mailed ASAP! If you have loads of extra holiday cards I recommend bringing a smile to those in nursing homes. Click HERE to learn where to send your holiday cards.

Today I'm sharing cards that focus on full backgrounds. These first two cards feature the incredible November Add On Presents Background. I love this background so much that I decided to create two completely different color ways to really show the versatility.
I intentionally wanted to create a traditional metallic red/green Christmas-y background ad then a rainbow background because who doesn't love bright and colorful rainbows of happiness?! The metallic red/green/silver background was painted with Metallic Glimmer Inks after embossing with gold embossing powder. The colorful background was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder and painted with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.
Greetings from the November Add On In For the Holidays were stamped and embossed wtih gold embossing powder, die cut with an Oval Infinity Die, matted on a gold mirror cardstock oval and popped up over the background with foam adhesive. Simple but keeps the focus on those gorgeous painted presents.
The November Add On Presents Background was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The presents were painted with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.
Greetings from the November Add On In For the Holidays were stamped and embossed with white embossing powder on dark gray cardstock, die cut with an Oval Infinity Die, matted on white cardstock oval, and popped up over the background with foam adhesive. Bright and colorful!
This next card was featured on the Hero Arts Blog for the Countdown to the kit release but I wanted to share it here since it features only stamps and dies from the Main Kit! This is an Advent Calendar card. The cute little images fit perfectly inside the ornament window openings.
I started by stamping the ornament cling background from the main kit on red cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the images with white embossing powder. I think it's easier to use a larger piece of cardstock to stamp the images, then use the coordinating ornament die from kit to line up the window openings and die cut the entire panel.

For the background, I die cut the new Alpine Snowfall Dies from smooth white cardstock and inked the panel with Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks. The panel was adhered to a white told fold card base.
The Alpine Window Dies were used to die cut a panel. The trees were colored in with Copic Markers. A sentiment from the Snow Days Stamp Set was stamped with the same Distress Inks as the background and then the panel was adhered over the Alpine Snowfall with foam adhesive. The die cut falling snow was customized with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard for sparkly falling snow.
The snowman and accessories from the Snow Buds Stamps and Dies were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. The snowman was customized with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard and Glossy Accents (for the carrot nose). A white gel pen was used to add white detail to the hat, mittens, and scarf.
The design was finished with a Snow Buds Stamps and Dies greeting stamped on gray cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card with foam adhesive.
