Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh November Product Release Blog Hop!
I'm thrilled to be guest designing with some of the fabulous new Pretty Pink Posh products from the latest release! Today I'm sharing a trio of clean and simple holiday cards featuring stamping and embossing on light gray cardstock and coloring in images with Polychromos colored pencils. The colors pop off the colored background for gorgeous card designs. I'm featuring the newly released Elegant Holiday Stamp Set and Decorative Ornaments Stamp Set. I really wanted to show how you can create amazing cards without the addition of die cutting. These cards are all stamping, embossing, coloring, and embellishing!

One problem with coloring with Polychromos after embossing with white embossing powder is that the outline might pick up some of the color. I stamped and embossed, colored, and then stamped and embossed again. This was key in getting that perfect white outline.
Using a stamp positioner, like the MISTI, is essential for success with this technique because we're going to come back after we color and stamp and emboss again for a bold, white outline.
Designs from the Elegant Holiday Stamp Set and Decorative Ornaments Stamp Set were stamped on Simon Says Stamp Fog Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The images were colored with the following Polychromos Colored Pencil Colors:
Greens: Light Phthalo Green, Phthalo Green, Emerald Green
Reds: Middle Cadmium Red, Deep Red
Once the coloring was finished the images from the Elegant Holiday Stamp Set and Decorative Ornaments Stamp Set were stamped again with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The cards were finished with rhinestones from the Holiday Jewels Mix, Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard, Nuvo Crystal Drops in Gloss White, or Crystal Glaze.

Love these cards! The traditional red and green looks so pretty and I love the technique of stamping and embossing a second time after the coloring is done.

I have never gone back to re-emboss before. It makes a lot of sense. Sometimes they somewhat disappear. Thanks for the tip!

Your coloring is so precise and nice. I am going to try the second embossing, no matter which color I choose. Great idea.
