Lawn Fawn | Magic Picture Changer Birthday Card

Hello friends! I'm super excited to share this tutorial featuring the brand new Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer dies! If you're obsessed with interactive cards like I am you're going to love this latest addition to the amazing Lawn Fawn collection of interactive dies!

To create the Magic Picture Changer, the fortune cookie images from the Year Eight Stamp Set were stamped on Neenah smooth white cardstock with Jet Black Ink. The images were masked and then colored in with Copic Markers, including the background. I didn't worry too much about being neat with the background coloring as the frame will hide any imperfections. What makes this Magic Picture Changer work is that it's flat, so no coordinating dies can be used for these images.

The Magic Picture Changer was assembled according to the directions in the video. As far as interactive cards go, this is one of the easier ones, in my opinion. It just "pops" together! So easy once you're done one! Yay! The pull tab from the Magic Picture Changer was die cut from Lawn Fawn Speckles patterned paper and stamped with "pull here" from the Push Here Stamp Set. The tab was glued in place at the top of the slider. This keep the slider in place so it doesn't slide down to low. The tab is wider than the slider opening so it acts as a "stopper".

The Magic Picture Changer Add On frame was die cut from Black Licorice Cardstock and adhered to the front of the interactive embellishment. A sentiment from the Simply Celebrate Stamp Set was stamped at the top with clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.

Images from the Let's Roll Stamp Set were stamped on another piece of smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Let's Roll Dies. The images were adhered along the bottom edge of the Magic Picture Changer as shown. Be sure to keep any adhesive on the frame and not on the interactive element. ;)

 

A Large Stitched Rectangle was die cut from another piece of Lawn Fawn Speckles patterned paper and stamped with images from the Year Eight and Let's Roll stamp sets. The images were colored in with Copic Markers. 

The Magic Picture Changer was adhered to the center of the panel with foam adhesive which makes grabbing the pull tab much easier!

Mama Elephant | Hogs and Kisses No Line Coloring Birthday Card

Hello friends! I am addicted to no line coloring lately. Today I'm sharing this birthday card featuring the Mama Elephant Hogs and Kisses Stamp Set and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I love the way this technique looks with these markers.

The piggies and balloons from the Hogs and Kisses Stamp Set were stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on Bristol Smooth Cardstock. The images were colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

Piggies: 220 Tea Rose, 071 Flesh Colour, 074 Light Beige, 065 Mid Brown

Red Accents: 022 Carmine Red, 021 Light Carmine

Pink Balloon: 202 Peach Pink, 200 Sugared Almond Pink

Yellow Orange Balloon: 052 Bright Yellow, 050 Yellow

Green Balloon: 041 Light Green, 053 Yellow Green

Turquoise Balloon: 042 Turquoise Green, 049 Green Shadow

Purple Balloon: 081 Light Violet, 806 Pale Violet

The background was stenciled with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink using the Drifts and Hills Stencil and a Life Changing Blender Brush. The Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the "mud" and then blotted dry with a paper towel.

The top of the background was inked with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and then stenciled with the Clouds For Days Stencil for very subtle clouds. The background was die cut with a Basic Rectangles Die to add detail around the edges.

The images were adhered to the background as shown. A sentiment from the Hogs and Kisses Stamp Set was stamped on the background with Black Ink. Hearts from the stamp set were stamped with Antique Linen Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The outer frame of the background was adhered directly to the card base. The middle panel was adhered with foam adhesive.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Little Chickie Scene Cards

Hello friends! I'm sharing a Designer Series project featuring the Favor Bag Chickie and Little Chickie Agenda stamps and dies combined to create these adorable springtime scene cards! In addition to the new chickie products I used the brand new Oval Scallop Frames to create the cracked "eggs" too! Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers were used for the no-line coloring of the chickies. With so many cute products I couldn't stop at just one card and have three to share with you today!

I started by creating the backgrounds for all three scene cards with a clouds stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. A Grassy Trio Border was die cut from green cardstock, the edges inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and adhered along the bottom edge of each cloud background. Sentiments from the Hello Friend Wishes Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom edge of each design with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I love how the bright white sentiments stand out against the green cardstock!

Chickies were die cut from light yellow, orange, ivory, black, and red cardstock using the Favor Bag Add On Chickie Dies. The chickie was inked with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and pink cheeks were created with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and a sponge dauber. The wings for each chickie were inked with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. Each chickie was assembled and adhered to the design as shown. Their are multiple ways to put together the Chickie (and all Favor Bag Add Ons) for many design possibilities!

Eggs were die cut from teal cardstock using the Oval Scallop Frames Dies. I love that you can create die cut ovals and even cracked eggs! I used the zig zag die to make cracked eggs for my cards. The edges were inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and splattered with Picket Fence Distress Paint for speckled eggs.

The Little Chickie Agenda images were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The color combinations are listed below:

• Chickie: 052 Bright Yellow, 050 Yellow, 055 Pale Yellow, 201 Pink Haze, 065 Mid Brown
• Eggs: 036 Light Blue, 302 Haze Blue
• Paint & Paint Cans: 031 Cobalt Blue, 036 Light Blue, 090 Gray, 097 Pale Gray
• Paintbrush: 065 Mid Brown, 072 Beige, 090 Gray, 097 Pale Gray, 031 Cobalt Blue, 036 Light Blue

The Little Chickie Agenda images were die cut using the coordinating Little Chickie Agenda Dies and eyes were added with a black glaze pen. The images were adhered to the design as shown.

Bows were die cut from bright pink cardstock using the Dainty Bow Die, assembled and added to the die cut Chickies on two of the cards. A heart from the Pocket Envelope Die Collection was die cut from red cardstock and adhered under the sentiment on one of the cards.

The cards were finished by adding Glossy Accents to the eyes and beaks of the Chickies. White dots were added to the cheeks of the die cut and stamped chickies. Once the Glossy Accents dries, white highlights were added to the eyes and beaks.

The ink colors for these cards were inspired by the Lucky Dye Ink from the March kit. I went through my stash and picked complimentary "ocean" colors to create these pretty backgrounds! The images and sentiments from the set were stamped on the white cardstock from the kit using the Amazing Stamp Set and Key Lime, Lucky, Mint, Scuba, High Dive, Blue Jay, Island Blue, and Blue Violet.

 

The backgrounds were trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to white top fold card bases with foam adhesive. Embellishments from the kit were adhered to the design for a bit of sparkle and dimension.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Poppy Flowers

Happy Friday! One of my favorite products to use when coloring flowers is hands down Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen with embossed floral images. Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is featuring the brand new Poppy Flowers Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

The flowers, leaves, and stems from the Poppy Flowers Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen.

Once dry the images were die cut with the coordinating Poppy Flowers Dies.

A background was inked with Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold Distress Inks. The flowers were assembled and glued in place on the left side of the card.

A sentiment from the Scripty Notes Stamp Set was stamped with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. The rest of the greeting from the Hello Friend Wishes Stamp Set was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The panel was adhered to a white side fold card base to finish the design.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Birdie Wreath No Line Coloring with Polychromos

Hello friends! One of my favorite things about the brand new Birdie Wreath Stamp Set is that it works all year round for many seasons and occasions! I'm getting an early start on Christmas card making with this holiday wreath and stocking cap adorned birdie! No line coloring with Polychromos was used to color in the images today.

A 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" piece of smooth white cardstock was inked with Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks were applied to the white cardstock to create the holiday night sky. Ranger Grit Paste was applied through the Heffy Doodle First Snow stencil for the falling snow look.

The wreath, holly, berries, birdie, and hat from the Birdie Wreath Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Moonlight Pigment Ink and colored in with the no-line technique using Polychromos colored pencils. The images were die cut with the Birdie Wreath Dies. The images were assembled and adhered to the sky using foam adhesive. The wreath is "hanging" from the top of the card using twine.

A 3D Arch Banner was die cut from smooth white cardstock, stamped with a sentiment from the Merry Christmas Stamp Set using Lobster Red Ink. The banner was secured below the wreath with foam adhesive.

Honey Bee Stamps | No Line Coloring with Polychromos (florals)

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a no line coloring card with Polychromos featuring the beautiful Winter Anemone Stamp Set. I love the way these pencils color on colored cardstock. The images were stamped with an embossing ink and then colored. White paint was splattered over the panel for a bit of interest and distressing. Greeting from the Friendship Stamp Set and Dies in gold and a scattering of pretty jewels and ice crystal hearts round out this pretty design.

Flowers and leaves from the Winter Anemone Stamp Set were stamped on Pebble Cardstock using clear embossing ink. I stamped the images twice using a stamp positioner tool to make sure the lines were nice and crisp. The flowers were colored in with the following Polychromos Colored Pencil color combinations:

• Flowers: 101 White, 103 Ivory, 184 Dark Naples Ochre, 182 Brown Ochre, 249 Mauve, 247 Indanthrene Blue
• Leaves: 167 Permanent Green Olive, 267 Pine Green

Once the coloring was finished Picket Fence Distress Paint was splattered over the surface for a little distressing.

When the paint was dry, an A2 Double Stitched Rectangle was die cut to add detail to the panel edges.

Greetings from the Friendship Stamp Set were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. A Friendship Die was die cut from gold mirror cardstock and glued in place to finish the greeting.

The outside frame was adhered to the card base and the center panel was adhered with foam adhesive.

The design was finished with a scattering of Moonlight Rhinestones and Crystal Clear Hearts.

Mama Elephant | Little Fairy Agenda Jar Shaker Birthday Card

Hello! Today I'm featuring the brand new Little Fairy Agenda Stamps and Dies and Jar Shaker Dies. This magical birthday card was such a joy to put together. I hope y'all love it, too!

The background of my card was inked with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks using the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil. Water from a Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the background and blotted dry with a paper towel.

Grassy Trio borders were die cut from smooth white cardstock and inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. The wider border was adhered directly to the background.

The Jar Shaker Die frame (both dies) were die cut from Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and again from light gray cardstock. The outer (larger) frame was die cut twice from acetate. Acetate was adhered to the back of the fun foam frame. The shaker was filled with Lilac Seed Beads, Silver Mini Star Confetti, and Lavender Moon sequins. The other side was layered with the other acetate piece and finished with the light gray cardstock frame.

 

The label from the Jar Shaker Dies was die cut from vellum, stamped with sentiments from the Oh Happy Day Stamp Set using clear ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The label was run through a Xyron Sticker Maker and adhered to the front of the shaker. Thin string was wrapped around the top of the jar and then the jar was adhered to the card as shown. The other Grassy Trio border was adhered with Fun Foam along the bottom edge of the scene. The Jar Shaker lid was die cut from Frosted Silver cardstock and tucked into the grass.

Fairies from the Little Fairy Agenda Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, die cut with the coordinating Little Fairy Agenda dies, and adhered to the design as shown.

The fairy wings were adorned with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard. Additional star images were stamped on the background and colored in with purples and blues.

For my card today I incorporated the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Scallops 6x6 paper, Green Apple cardstock, smooth white cardstock, Lucky dye ink, sequins, Metallic Gold envelope, and the Wooly Llama Stamp Set from the March Kit! These kits are so filled with good product that the only additional products I used were dies, ink, markers, and a Lawn Fawn ("pull here") stamped image. I love the challenge of creating a card made mostly with the kit. I hope this inspires y'all to find creative ways to utilize the kit's components!

The Sunny Studio Sliding Window Dies is hands down one of my most favorite interactive die sets. I have long been a fan of the pull tab sliding windows but was so intimidated to create my own. This awesome set makes creating them a snap! I highly, highly recommend this die set. 

I die cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Really Rainbow Scallops patterned paper background with the frame and notch. This is the front on the card. In fact, this card isn't going to open traditionally but will pull up to reveal the "inside" of the card with another stamped and embossed sentiment!

The measurements for trimming the remaining components are as follows:

• Slider (white cardstock): 3 1/4" x 5" (the length on this can be adjusted after you've put the slider together.)
• Front panel (white cardstock): 3" x 4"
• Thin strips (green cardstock): 1/4" x 3"

The llama, shamrocks, and sentiment for the front of the card were stamped from the Wooly Lucky Stamp Set with Intense Black Ink and Lucky Dye Ink as shown. The images were colored in with Copic Markers and embellished with a white pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard. This panel on the sliding window is one of my favorite ways to "disguise" the fact that this llama doesn't have a coordinating die. No fussy cutting required! Whoohoo!!!

Gold star sequisn from the kit are the perfect accent and pull out the yellows/gold from the buckle and blanket.

"Pull Here" from the Lawn Fawn Push Here Stamp Set was stamped at the top with Lucky Ink to let the recipient know that the card is interactive.

The back of the card was created from the Green Apple Cardstock in the kit, stamped with another sentiment from the Wooly Llama Stamp Set using clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.

The panel was secured to the green card base with foam adhesive. Foam adhesive makes the sliding window work easier.

Mama Elephant | Wiper Surprise Tutorial (Little Chickie Agenda & Flying With Friends)

Happy Monday friends! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards featuring the Mama Elephant Wiper Surprise Dies, sharing how to put these together for awesome pop up interactive card designs. I'm also showcasing the brand new Little Chickie Agenda stamps and dies paired with many previously released Mama Elephant stamps and dies. These Wiper Surprise cards are so fun to make and are a great way to create an interactive pop up card!

For my first card share today, I have a birthday-themed design featuring the brand new Little Chickie Agenda stamps and dies. I also used the Celebration Balloons stamps and dies for the "party" balloons, sentiments from the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and Occasional Labels Stamp Set, and a border die cut using the Landscape Trio Dies.

Two panels were die cut using the Wiper Surprise Dies. From one panel a "grass" border was die cut with the Landscape Trio Die.

The background panel was inked with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and the MFT Mini Cloud Edges Stencil. The grass border was inked with the MFT Drifts and Hills Stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. The grass border was spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry.

Greetings from the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and Occasional Labels Stamp Set were stamped with Jalapeno Ink.

The chicks from Little Chickie Agenda and balloons from Celebration Balloons were stamped on smooth white cardstock, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the Little Chickie Agenda Dies and Celebration Balloons Dies. The images were adhered to the scene as shown. Glossy Accents was used to add a glossy finish to the beaks of the chicks and balloons.

For the elephant card, two panels were die cut using the Wiper Surprise Dies. From one panel a cloud border was die cut with a Landscape Trio Die. The background and border were inked with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. 

A greeting from the Friendship Sentiments Stamp Set was stamped on the cloud border with Minty Fresh Dye Ink.

Elephant and mice images from the Fly With Me and Flying With Friends stamp sets were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versamark Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and die cut with the Fly With Me Dies and Flying With Friends Dies.

The images were adhered to the scene and wiper pop up as shown.
