Today I'm sharing an interactive card design showcasing the brand new Circle of Friends Stamp Set, coordinating dies, and Turner Surprise Dies. If you're a fan of fun, interactive card designs you're going to love the new Turner Surprise!
The background was created twice (one we will use for the background of the design and one to die cut the turning element) by inking the MFT Cloud Stencil with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks. I chose the cloud theme after choosing the sentiment from the Circle of Friends Stamp Set that I wanted to use on my card.
The Turner Surprise element was die cut from one of the backgrounds. Stars from the Circle of Friends Stamp Set was used to stamp the background and the Turner Surprise die cut piece. A greeting from the Circle of Friends Stamp Set was stamped in the bottom third of the background panel using black ink. Another sentiment from the Occasional Labels Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink, trimmed out and adhered with foam adhesive. Additional greetings from the Circle of Friends Stamp Set were stamped on the Turner Surprise element as shown.
The Circle of Friends critter image was stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and die cut with the Turner Surprise scallop edge die. The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
The Turner Surprise was assembled according to the instructions in the video above. 1/8" thin foam adhesive was placed around the outer edge of the scallop die and the element was adhered to the card base as shown.
A handle from the Turner Surprise Dies was die cut from smooth white cardstock and adhered with "turn here" from the Circle of Friends Stamp Set. Shaded Lilac Distress Ink was applied to white cardstock and a star from the Turner Surprise Dies was die cut from it to adorn the Turner Surprise handle and finish the card.
