(Small Business Saturday) Continued Black Friday - Cyber Monday Savings

The Stamp Market | Black Friday NEW RELEASE Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Happy Black Friday! I'm so excited to be hopping along with The Stamp Market today celebrating the latest release! Today The Stamp Market has rolled out some incredible new products and I can't wait to share these fun new goodies with you! Create mailbox shaped gift card holders with the Merry Mail Bundle, stitch a monogram with the Stitched Alphabet Dies, and the Stitched Tag Die fits the new monograms perfectly! Don't forget to pick up your favorite colors of Color Crush inks and cardstock to create some great gift packaging cards and tags!

I am such a huge fan of shaped and/or interactive cards. These new Mailbox Gift Card Holder Cards from The Stamp Market have it all!

To create the shaped gift card holders, the Mailbox Gift Card Holder mailbox shape was die cut twice from Cherry Kisses, Leafy, or Blush Color Crush Cardstock. On the back panel for each set, the bottom scored tab was trimmed away (reference video for more details). The pull tab was also die cut from the same color or cardstock.

On the front and back of each mailbox The Stamp Market Criss Cross background was stamped to give the mailboxes some interest and character. I love a simple stitched pattern background, don't you?!!! I stamped the Cherry Kisses and Leafy mailboxes with Black Waterproof Premium Dye Ink and the Blush mailbox with Cherry Kisses Ink.

Greetings from the Merry Mail Stamp Set were stamped and embossed or stamped on the front of each mailbox and the "pull" sentiment from the Merry Mail Stamp Set was stamped on the pull of the sliding mechanism. The mailbox was assembled back to back, leaving room to slide in the pull tab. The tab on the front of the mailbox and the pull tab will "catch" revealing the gift card inside! It's so cool!

Envelopes from the Mailbox Gift Card Holder were die cut from Cherry Kisses, Leafy, or Blush Color Crush Cardstock. The Cherry Kisses and Leafy die cut envelopes were embellished by stamping Made With Love mini backgrounds on each. Berries and leaves from the Merry Mail Stamp Set were stamped with Cherry Kisses and Leafy inks and die cut with the coordinating dies before being added to each mailbox. Glossy Accents was used to embellish the berries.

The Stitched Alphabet Dies and the Stitched Tag Die were used together to create these monogram gift tags.

The Stitched Tag Die was die cut from Cherry Kisses or Leafy cardstock twice (front and back for each tag). The front of each tag was stamped with The Stamp Market Criss Cross background using Black Waterproof Premium Dye Ink. A Stitched Alphabet Dies was die cut from the stamped front and then cross-stitched with 6 strands of white embroidery floss.

The back of each tag was stamped with "to" and "from" from the Merry Mail Stamp Set using Black Waterproof Premium Dye Ink. The tags were adhered back to back. Hole reinforcers were die cut from black cardstock and placed on the front and back of the tag. Red and white baker's twine was knotted through each and berries and leaves from the Merry Mail Stamp Set were stamped with Cherry Kisses and Leafy inks and die cut with the coordinating dies before being added to each mailbox. Glossy Accents was used to embellish the berries.

Mama Elephant Designer Series | Zodiac Animals (Tall & Skinny Cards)

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing some tall and skinny card ideas with the new Zodiac animals stamp sets from Mama Elephant. These cards measure 3 1/2" x 9" (created from a piece of smooth white cardstock) and fit in a basic business envelope.

Here's a look at the Zodiac animals tall & skinny cards side by side. Aren't these fun?!!! And stay tuned in the coming months as Mama Elephant will be releasing additional Zodiac critters to add to the collection!

To create the scene I inked a 3 1/2" x 9" card base with Hero Hues Pool Party Reactive Ink. Three borders were die cut with Grassy Trio Creative Cuts Dies, inked with Hero Hues Key Lime Fizz and Green Apple Reactive Inks with a blending brush and adhered along the bottom edge of the tall and skinny card base.

The Thanks Script Creative Cuts die was die cut from smooth white cardstock adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive. The greeting was inked with Lawn Fawn Lobster Red Ink and adhered to the card base as shown.

A sentiment from the Zodiac Ox Stamp Set was stamped on Hero Hues Pitch Black cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The phrase was die cut using a Sentiment Strips die and adhered to the design with foam adhesive.

The cows and other images from the Zodiac Ox Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Inkon3 Fadeout No Line Coloring Ink and colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

Cows: Natural Gray, Gray Tint, Blender, Pink Haze, Beige, Light Beige, Tea Rose

Mug: Beige, Light Beige, Haze Blue, Blenders

Milk: Blue Haze, Gray Tint, Blender

Hat: Natural Gray, Gray Tint, Deep Red

The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the pasture scene as shown.

A black gel pen was used to add detail to the eyes and Honey Bee Stamp Kiss Me Hearts were added to the design for a little pop of color and embellishment.

To create the panel for the front of the card I used the Sew Fancy Circles to die cut circles from a 3 1/2" x 9" panel of smooth white cardstock. I temporarily adhered the circles to the back of the panel to ink the design with Lawn Fawn Butter and No 2 Pencil dye inks with a blending brush. FYI, you could totally ink the panel before die cutting. In fact that would probably be better but I kind of thought I would ink the circles in a different color. Why? I don't know. Obviously that would have been a mistake! LOL

On the card base I used the panel to help line up and adhere the circles. I stamped a greeting from the Zodiac Mouse Stamp Set using the Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil Ink. I die cut the Tri Window "Hugs" greeting from the panel and then adhered the panel to the card base with foam adhesive.

Foam adhesive was also die cut using the Tri Window "Hugs" greeting twice and adhered those to the die cut openings in the panel. I adhered the inked die cut letters on top and finished with a layer of Glossy Accents. I did this step right off the bat to give the Glossy Accents a chance to completely dry.

The mice and other images from the Zodiac Mouse Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Inkon3 Fadeout No Line Coloring Ink and colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

Mice: Mid Gray, Brick Beige, Blender, Pink Haze

Cheese: Light Brown, Flesh Colour

Milk Carton: Light Blue, Blue Haze

Cookie: Mid Brown, Oatmeal, Blender

The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the die cut circle opening as shown. Aren't they adorable?!!!!

A black gel pen was used to add detail to the eyes and Honey Bee Stamp Kiss Me Hearts were added to the design for a little pop of color and embellishment. Hearts are the answer to everything!

Simon Says Stamp | Limited Edition 2019 Christmas Tag Kit (Tag Showcase)

Surprise! Simon Says Stamp just unveiled the 2019 Limited Edition Christmas Tag Kit. This incredible kit is chock full of everything you need to make incredible gift tags for the holidays! Today I will sharing 10 cards I created with the kit. I am using patterned papers, cardstock, exclusive dies, exclusive stamp sets, and twine from the kit as well as inks and a few additional dies from my stash to complete the tag projects. These Build A Snowman bookmark tags feature stamps from both of the exclusive stamp sets included in the kit: 6" x 8" Ho Ho Ho Stamp Set and 3" x 4" Build A Snowman Stamp Set.

The "tags" were created by die cutting smooth white cardstock with the Mama Elephant Bookmark It Creative Cuts die.

The snowman images were built by stamping images from the two sets with the following Pinkfresh Studio inks:

Hat: Ballet Slipper, Passion Fruit

Holly & Berries: Berrylicious, Grassy Knoll

Carrot: Apricot

Scarf: Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine

Sentiment: Passion Fruit, Mint, Ocean Breeze

The edges of the bookmark were masked off with post it tape. The Ocean Breeze ink was lighted applied around the edges of the panel using a blending brush.

Another Bookmark It tag was die cut from Hero Hues Arctic Cardstock and stamped with "to" and "from" as well as another sentiment using Aquamarine Ink. The tags were adhered back to back and finished with some twine from the kit.

The Ho Ho Ho tags were created from two die cuts tags. The Ho Ho Ho Tag was die cut from red polka dot and text patterned papers from the kit. The tags were inlaid and pieced together by gluing the tags to a sheet of smooth white cardstock. The tag shape was trimmed from the cardstock and the hole for the top of the tag was created with a Crop-a-dile.

Glitter Santa hats were die cut from Simon Says Stamp White Glitter Cardstock and red Lawn Fawn Holiday Sparkle Cardstock using the Tiny Gift Box Holiday Hats Add On Dies. The hats were adhered to the "Ho Ho Ho" design for a touch of fun and sparkle.

"To" and "from" from the Build A Snowman Stamp Set were stamped on the back of each tag as shown. The tags were finished with red/white twine from the kit.

The Stocking Tag from the kit were die cut from cardstock and patterned papers from the kit and assembled as shown.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Cherry Blossom Branch (3 Ways)

Hello friends! The Cherry Blossom Branch from the Mama Elephant November 2019 Release is one of my favorites. I'm showcasing this brand new stamp and die set with the same design card but colored with three different mediums, featuring three different greetings for three different occasions. I love me a versatile stamp set and this one is incredible! I love that with the same basic design this card can be used for birthdays, sympathy, or thank you! And if you change up those greetings, they could be used for many more occasions! Let's get started!

All three of my cards today feature the same basic design: a beautifully colored cherry blossom branch with falling petals and flowers with a stamped and embossed sentiment.

For the background of my first card, I applied Hero Hues Pool Party Reactive Ink to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock with a blending brush. I created the ombre effect by concentrating the ink towards the bottom of the panel and lightening towards the top. Once the ink was dry I stamped two phrases from the Cherry Blossom Branch Stamp Set with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The branch, individual petals, and blooms from the Cherry Blossom Branch Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being colored with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

Light Carmine

Pink Flamingo

Tea Rose

Light Green

Yellow Green,

Mid Brown

The colors were blended out with a water brush pen for a soft, easy watercolored effect.

Once dry the images were die cut with the coordinating Cherry Blossom Branch Dies and adhered to the card with foam adhesive. The panel was adhered to a white side fold card base and finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.

For my second card, I stamped the Cherry Blossom Branch images on Lawn Fawn Fog Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. These images and sentiment were stamped on the background. No die cutting for this single layer card!

The background of this panel measures 4" x 5 1/4" so it will have a thin white border all the way around when adhered to a standard A2 size card base.

The images were colored in with the following colors of Polychromos Colored Pencils:

Pompeian Red

Medium Flesh

Light Flesh

Permanent Green Olive

Earth Green Yellowish

Burnt Umber

The panel was adhered to a white side fold card base and finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.

For my third card, I stamped the Cherry Blossom Branch images on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf alcohol ink friendly ink. The light brown color of the outline is the perfect choice when using alcohol ink markers and keeps the outline soft and pretty and works great with the marker color choices.

The images were colored with the following Copic Markers: R000, R12, R14, YG17, YG21, E55, E57

Greetings from the Cherry Blossom Branch Stamp Set were stamped on Lawn Fawn Fog Cardstock with Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder. The gold embossing powder works especially well with the outline color of the stamped and colored images!

The images were adhered to background with foam adhesive, the panel was adhered to a white side fold card base, and finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.

Simon Says Stamp | Limited Edition 2019 Christmas Card Kit (Card Showcase)

This year's Limited Edition 2019 Christmas Card Kit is right down my alley. Full of amazing patterned papers, stamps, ephemera, puffy stickers, Stickles Glitter Glue, matching envelopes, and so much more. It is so, so good. Let's get started!

These first two cards are quick and easy. Showcasing the LDRS Christmas Cottage Patterned Papers, kraft cardstock, Tim Holtz Christmas Idea-ology Stickers, side fold cards, envelopes, and Carta Bella Christmas Market Puffy Stickers from the kit. That cute skinny frame? That is the Mama Elephant Delancey Creative Cuts die!

The next card and tag are one of my favorite holiday color combinations: silver/black/white. The background of the card is a LDRS Christmas Cottage Patterned Paper. The large pre-made die cut greeting, stars, tag, and bells are from the My Mind's Eye Yuletide Ephemera pack in the kit. The card was finished with sticker phrases from the Tim Holtz Christmas Idea-ology Stickers .

This beauty was created by trimming the Green Apple Cardstock from the kit to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and stamping poinsettias, greenery, and a sentiment from the Magic of Christmas Stamp Set with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder.

Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors in Bluish Gold and White were splattered over the background for a "snowy" background. Silver watercolor from the same set was used with a medium water brush pen to color in the poinsettias.

The Stickles Glitter Glue was used to decorate the panel as shown.

For my final card share today I trimmed kraft cardstock from the kit to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". An image and the word "Christmas" from the Magic of Christmas Stamp Set was stamped on the panel with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The images were colored in with Polychromos Colored Pencils in the following colors:

Berries: White, Deep Red, Dark Red

Leaves: White, Earth Green Yellowish, Permanent Green Olive

Branch: Burnt Umber

Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors in White was splattered over the background for a "snowy" look.

The word "blessings" from the Magic of Christmas Stamp Set was stamped on Green Apple Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being die cut with a Nested Banner Die and adhered to the card with foam adhesive.

Simon Says Stamp | Gnome For The Holidays Action Wobbles Cards

Have you picked up the December 2019 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, Gnome For The Holidays, yet? It's incredible, friends! Probably my favorite kit of the year. I'm thrilled to be sharing two of my favorite holiday cards of the season with these gnome cards featuring lots of product from the kit!

In addition to the Lil' Gnome wafer thin die in the kit, I also used the Gnome For the Holidays 6" x 8" Stamp Set, Photoplay Kringle and Co. 6" x 6" patterned paper, Carta Bella Light Silver Shimmer cardstock, 3 mini action wobbles, blending brush, Schoolhouse Red Cardstock, and envelopes. That's a lot of goodness from the kit on two cards, right?!!!

The backgrounds of my cards were created by stamping snowflakes and greetings from the Gnome For the Holidays 6" x 8" Stamp Set on 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Schoolhouse Red Cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Simon Says Stamp Merlot dye ink was applied around the edges with the blending brush and the excess ink buffed away with a dry rag.

The Lil' Gnome wafer thin die and Gnome Wafter Die were die cut from smooth white cardstock and Photoplay Kringle and Co. 6" x 6" patterned paper, assembled and adhered to the card with adhesive or a 3 mini action wobbles. The middle gnome on each card wobbles back and forth! So fun!!!

An additional greeting from the Gnome For the Holidays 6" x 8" Stamp Set was stamped inside the card with Simon Says Stamp Slate Ink.

A greeting from the Heffy Doodle Interactively Yours Stamp Set was stamped and embossed on the card front to let the recipient know this card is interactive.

Red and White Pom Poms were glued to the tips of the hats for a fun, dimensional, decorative touch.

Nuvo Crystal Drops in Liquid Mercury were applied to the snowflake centers.
