Hello friends! What better way to start off the New Year than with a Crafty Friends card featuring art supplies! One of my favorite styles of cards is one featuring paper pieced die cuts over a subtle stamped background for an all over pattern!

The background of my card was created by stamping the Good Reading Background of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of smooth white cardstock with Pinkfresh Studio Misty Coast Ink. I love the super soft look of this light gray ink. A blending brush was used to add color around the edges of the panel.
Art Supplies and Paint Palette dies were die cut from the following cardstock colors and paper pieced to create the all-over die cut background:
- Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers
- Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink
- Hero Hues Cherry
- Gina K Sweet Mango
- Gina K Wild Dandelion
- Lawn Fawn Cilantro
- Lawn Fawn Noble Fir
- Hero Hues Arctic
- Hero Hues Paradise
- Hero Hues Lapis
- Simon Says Stamp Lavender
- Gina K Wild Lilac
- Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Neutrals
- Lawn Fawn Black Licorice
- Tonic Studios Frosted Silver Mirror
Glossy Accents was applied to the tips of the paintbrushes, paint splatters, and paint in the palette for a glossy, raised finish.
The Hello Crafty Friend sentiment die was die cut from Lawn Fawn Black Licorice and smooth white cardstock. The pieces were layered as shown and adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
A Sentiment Strips Artist strip was trimmed and adhered below the die cut greeting with foam adhesive to round out the greeting.
For the matching envelope, a border stamp, scissors, and greeting from the Crafty Friend Stamp Set was stamped along the back flap of an Audrey Blue Envelope using Audrey Blue Ink.
I just love a matching set, don't you?!!!
