Happy Fri-yay! Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio August Release Blog Hop. Today I'm sharing some tips and tricks on how I created this Color Block Gradiating Stripes Background Cling background with layered floral stamped image. Incredible Pinkfresh Studio Inks in shades of blues and yellows were used to create the beautiful striped background. This clean and simple design is a snap to make and can be created any color combination of your choosing! Let's get started!

THE BACKGROUND
The Color Block Gradiating Stripes Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock and used as a guide to line up each stripe as shown in the video above. Each stripe from the Color Block Gradiating Stripes Background Cling was stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock.
I used the following Pinkfresh Studio Inks to stamp the stripes:
FINISHING THE CARD
A sentiment from the Sending Love & Hugs Stamp Set was partially masked and the second line of text was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The first line of text was stamped with Pinkfresh Studio Stargazer Ink.
The floral layering image from the Sending Love & Hugs Stamp Set was stamped with Lemon Whip, Sweet Mustard, and Olive inks. The image was die cut with the coordinating Sending Love & Hugs Die and adhered to the design with foam adhesive. A second floral image was stamped and parts of the image were adhered to the upper left and lower left corners of the card as shown.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Buttermilk, Dandelion Yellow, and English Mustard were added to the card to finish the design.
