Interactive Christmas Cards + Stickers

Hello friends! I can't believe it's the last day of November. Where has the time gone? With it quickly approaching the holidays, I have a trio of quick interactive cards to share with you. Quick and interactive don't normally go together however my secret weapon is stickers! That's right, stickers. I know what you're thinking, but will it be cute? And the answer is YES! Doodlebug makes some adorable stickers that are similar to some of our favorite stamped images and make darling embellishments for all kinds of paper crafted goodness. By eliminating stamping, coloring, and diecutting/fussy cutting, you will save so much time and the end result is so fun! Let's get started!

Slimline Christmas Foliage Card (Simon Says Stamp)

Happy Friday! I am so glad you're here! Today I have a slimline Christmas foliage card to share with you featuring components from the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit, Joyful Season. The slimline style allows for plenty of room for all the elements on this elegant holiday design.

The background of the card was created by die cutting a Simple Stories North Pole 6x8 Patterned Paper from the kit with the Simon Says Stamp Slimline Scallop die. The die was also used to die cut smooth white cardstock from the kit twice.

Greetings from the Simon Says Stamp Joyful Season Stamp Set were stamped along the bottom edge of the patterned paper rectangle die cut with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. The panel was secured to a white slimline card base. The white scallop frames were adhered one on top of another around the patterned paper.

The new Simon Says Stamp Candy Cane Heart Die was die cut from the Lipstick Red Cardstock and smooth white cardstock from the kit and Lawn Fawn Gold Metallic Cardstock. The red cardstock was shaded with Copic markers in R46 and R59. The white outline was adhered over the top and the gold "hangers" adhered to the candy cane before the entire thing was secured the card base.

The foliage from the Simon Says Stamp Christmas Foliage Dies was die cut from Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf Cardstock, Hero Arts Palm Cardstock, Simon Says Stamp Midnight Green Cardstock, and Lipstick Red Cardstock. The greenery was shaded with either BG93 or YG99 and the clusters of foliage were adhered to the design as shown.

Glossy Accents was placed on the berries for a glossy, raised finish.

A box was die cut from Lawn Fawn Gold Metallic Cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Candy Canes Die. The bow was placed at the top of the bander with foam adhesive.

A scattering of gold matte gold stars were added to the background to finish the card.

Simon Says Stamp 2020 Limited Edition Exclusive Holiday Gift Card Kit | Gnome Peeking

Happy Tuesday! You're in for a treat today with a surprise from Simon Says Stamp with the Gnome Peeking Holiday Gift Card Kit! The kit includes all kinds of fabulous products to make gift card holders, cards, tags, etc. Today I am sharing this slimline gnome scene card featuring the Gnome Peeking Stamp Set included with the kit (or available for individual purchase). I did a little creative masking for a mostly one layer design. The video tutorial shares tips and tricks for creating scene cards, masking and adding finishing details as well as advice on how to fix problematic "mistakes". Let's get started!

Smooth white cardstock from the kit was die cut with a Slimline Nested Rectangle Die and images from the Gnome Peeking Stamp Set were stamped on the panel with Hero Arts Intens-ified Ink, masking with Simon Says Stamp Masking Paper as needed.

The images were colored in with the following Copic Markers:

• Gnome in Truck: YG21, YG17, BG11, BG13, RV34, R56, R24, R27, R39, C00, C3, C5, C8, W1, W3, E55, E57, Y32
• Gnome with Candy Cane: BG11, BG13, YG21, YG17, W1, W3, E11, E13, C5, C8, R24, R39
• Trees: G40, G24, G29, B00, B000
• Mushroom: R24, R27, R39, E55, E57, Y32
• Gnome with Toy Bag: R24, R27, R39, E55, E57, RV34, R56, BG11, BG13, E11, E13, YG21, YG17, C5, C8

Snowflakes from the stamp set were stamped on the background with Simon Says Stamp Inks in Lipstick Red, Rose Apple, Cotton Candy, Audrey Blue,  Spring Rain, and Jellybean.

One of the greetings from the stamp set was stamped directly on the background with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Another phrase was stamped on the Schoolhouse Red Cardstock included in the kit and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. That phrase was die cut with a Sentiment Labels Die and adhered to the background with foam adhesive as shown.

Nuvo Crystal Drops in Honey Gold were added to the center of some snowflakes. Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard was added to any "snow" and Glossy Accents was added to the tires.

Pinkfresh Studio November 2020 Essentials Die Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday, friends! Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio November 2020 Essentials Die Release Blog Hop! I am so glad you're here.

Today I am sharing a trio of cards created with new dies from the release as well as some favorite previously released stamps and dies. I am using the Slim Stripes Essentials Dies, Nested Chevron Essentials Die, and Diagonal Stitched Circles Dies. I love good basics that can be used for many different themes and occasions! Need birthday, thank you, or sympathy cards instead? No problem! Switch the colors of paper used with the dies for completely different looks! I'm also showcasing how you can take basic florals and turn them into Christmas florals. None of the stamps today are "Christmas" but each card gives that holiday vibe! Let's get started!

Christmas Barn Scene Card (Art Impressions + Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Exclusive)

Hello friends! You're in for a treat today with a surprise from Simon Says Stamp and Art Impressions with this Limited Edition Exclusive Christmas Barn Stamp/Die Combo! I created a slimline design with these new products. The interactive barn doors are so fun and those reindeer... the cutest!!!!

I feel like the background is just important as the images used for a scene card. For this Christmas Barn scene, I die cut the Mama Elephant Slim Woodland from smooth white cardstock and colored in the trees with Copic Markers in E40, E43, and E44.

The background is a separate piece of cardstock inked with Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon (my favorite color combo for winter night skies). When dry, sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp Santa's Sleigh Ride Slider were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The Simon Says Stamp Large Falling Snow Stencil and Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel in White were used to create the falling snow background.

The woodland panel was adhered over the sky background.

The images from the Christmas Barn Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and colored in with the following Copic Marker color combinations:

• Reindeer: E40, E43, E44, E47, R00
• Sleigh: R24, R27, R39, C3, C7
• Barn: R24, R27, R39, B000, B00, E44, E47
• Wreath: R24, R27, R39, G24, G29
• Santa: E11, E13, W1, W3, C3, C7, R24, R27, R39

The images werr die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the scene as shown.

Glossy Accents was added to the bow on the wreath.

Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard was added to the snow on the barn.

Trinity Stamps Vanilla Sugar snowflakes and a red Sweethearts heart were added to the card to finish the design.

Mama Elephant November 2020 Stampede Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Mama Elephant November Stampede Blog Hop!

Today I am sharing this slimline love-themed card with the brand new Up With Love Stamp Set and coordinating dies and Big You Are Love Die. Layered stenciling for the background provides the perfect backdrop for this sweet critter card.

A background was die cut from smooth white cardstock using the background die from the Slim Window Dressing Collection. The edges were masked off with post it tape. The Lawn Fawn Cloudy Stencil and Tattered Rose Distress Ink was used to created an all over pink cloud design.

The Simon Says Stamp Bursting Hearts Stencil was the stenciled over the background with the same Distress Inks color for a beautiful tone-on-tone design.

 

Images from the Up With Love Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish Ink and colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

• Bunny: Mid Gray, Gray Tint, Blender, Pale Pink, Geranium Red, Tea Rose
• Duckling: Mustrd, Blender, Pale Pink, Bright Yellow, Pale Orange, Geranium Red, Tea Rose
• Bear: Mid Brown, Oatmeal, Pale Pink, Geranium Red, Tea Rose
• Fox: Brown, Light Brown, Medium Beige, Pale Pink, Geranium Red, Tea Rose

The images were die cut using the coordinating dies.

The Big You Are Love Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock and inked with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and Festive Berries Ink. The greeting was die cut two more times and stacked one on top of another as shown. A greeting from the Up With Love Stamp Set was stamped on the background with Festive Berries Ink. The die cut greeting was adhered above the stamped phrase.

The stamped, colored, and die cut images were adhered to the design as shown.

The card was finished with a scattering of heart embellishments.

Dimensional Fall Flowers (Spellbinders Autumn Flora Collection)

Hello friends. I am so glad you're here! Today I'm sharing this dimensional fall flowers card created with Spellbinders Autumn Flora dies and stamp set. The Framed Details Effortless Greetings glimmer plate and Stylish Script Thankful Glimmer Plate were foiled on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf Cardstock with Copper Foil.

A phrase from the Autumn Quotes Stamp Set was stamped on the panel with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The Button and Daisy Chrysanthemum Dies were die cut from cardstock and inked with Distress Inks. Color combinations listed below:

• Plum: Hero Arts Plum Cardstock inked with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink
• Light Pink: Gina K Bubble Gum Cardstock inked with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
• Berry: Lawn Fawn Raspberry Cardstock inked with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink
• White: Simon Says Stamp Cream Off Cardstock inked with Scattered Straw Distress Ink, Lawn Fawn Sunflower Cardstock
• Leaves: Hero Arts Pesto Cardstock

Detail and texture were added to the flowers and leaves with the Tool 'n One.  Glue was carefully added to the flowers so that none was added to the petals.

The Coreopsis Dies were die cut from Lawn Fawn Sunflower Cardstock and inked with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Detail and texture were added to the flowers and leaves with the Tool 'n One.  Glue was carefully added to the flowers so that none was added to the petals.

The Woodland Garden Leaves were die cut from Simon Says Stamp Cream Off Cardstock and inked with Distress Inks. Color combinations listed below:

Simon Says Stamp Holly Jolly Release Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY (HOLIDAY BACKGROUNDS CARDS & TAGS)

Happy Saturday! I am so glad you're here! Today I have a set of holiday cards and tags created with brand new Simon Says Stamp Holly Jolly Release background stamps and stencil. I love how just three backgrounds can be used with many different products for different looks depending upon the other products used. Today I'm showcasing the Holiday Words Background, Outline Merry Christmas Background, and Scattered Stars Stencil. While I had the supplies all out I went ahead and stamped or stenciled die cut Nested Tags to make a fun assortment of gift tags for the upcoming holiday season. Next time you're creating cards, try making some gift tags, too! The smaller size is fun and you will already have some tags on hand when it comes time to wrap gifts!
