Happy Saturday, friends! Today we are celebrating summer a bit with this beach scene card featuring a couple of older Mama Elephant Stamp/Die Sets: Beach Chickies and Summer Splash! The Slim Comic Strip Creative Cuts Die is the perfect way to frame up each mini "scene. I love revisiting previously released stamps and dies for a brand new design!

The Mama Elephant Slim Comic Strip Creative Cuts Dies was die cut from smooth white cardstock. Each "section" was stamped with the waves from the Mama Elephant Summer Splash Stamp/Die Set using clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. A greeting from the set was stamped in one of the sections with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The "water" in each section was inked with Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon. The "sand" was inked with Distress Inks in Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs.
Water from a Distress Sprayer was splattered over the panels for a bit of distressing. Once dry, the frame and panel were adhered to a 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" white slimline card base. The Mama Elephant Slim Comic Strip Creative Cuts Dies frame was die cut three more times and adhered one on top of another for a dimensional frame.
Images from the Mama Elephant Beach Chickies Stamp/Die Set and Mama Elephant Summer Splash Stamp/Die Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish No Line Coloring Ink. The images were colored with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:
- Chickies: Mustard, Medium Beige, Pink Haze
- Elephants: Platinum Brown, Gray Tint, Pink Haze
- Watermelon: May Green, Light Green, Yellow Green, Red, Light Carmine
- Crabs: Red, Light Carmine
- Flamingo Floatie: Peach Pink, Sugared Almond Pink, Dark Gray, Gray Tint, Bright Yellow
- Bucket Hat: Blue, Light Blue, Light Green, Yellow Green
- Red Shovel: Red, Light Carmine
- Blue Shovel: Blue, Light Blue
- Sandcastle: Mid Brown, Beige, Gray, Gray Tint
- Umbrella, Beach Ball, Floatie: Peach Pink, Sugared Almond Pink, Red, Light Carmine, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Light Green, Yellow Green, Blue, Light Blue, Light Violet, Pale Violet
- Mermaid Tail: Light Violet, Pale Violet
- Coconut Drink: Mid Brown, Beige, Red, Light Carmine, Light Green, Yellow Green
The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the mini sections as shown.
The card was finished with a scattering of stars and hearts.
