I love that even with a 3D club kit, you can create a more one dimensional project, like a card! I wanted to show the versatility of the kit as well as show how to assemble the 3D components in my latest video. I created a mini easel with canvas to decorate my craft room. How cute would these be as place settings for a craft retreat or get together with friends?!!!! I also took many of the dies from the kit, pairing them with the Crafty Sentiments Hot Foil Plates and Craft Happy Stamp and Die Bundle to create this rainbow of paint tubes card! No matter what you make, you're going to love this month's Large Die of the Month Club Kit!
THE EASEL
The long piece from the 3D Still Life Easel & Canvas Kit was die cut 5 times from gray woodgrain cardstock and assembled according to the video instructions. The "metal" piece at the top of the easel was die cut twice (one for the front and one for the back) from Silver Mirror Cardstock. The piece was secured to the top of the main frame on the front and back. The two pieces for the front were cut smaller according to video directions and adhered to the easel (be sure not to adhere the top piece until you decide on portrait or landscape format for your "canvas". The leg and stabilizer piece were adhered the the back of the easel.
The paint tube, paint splatter, brushes, and palette were die cut from many FSJ cardstocks, assembled, and adhered to the canvas before being adhered to the easel.
Glossy Accents was applied to the paint palette and paint splatter for a glossy, raised finish.
The paint tubes and paint splatter were die cut many, many times from smooth white cardstock and an entire rainbow array of FSJ Cardstock. The images were adhered to the design around the circle as shown.
The paint palette and paint brushes were were die cut, assembled, and adhered to the design as shown. Glossy Accents was applied to the paint.
A greeting from the Craft Happy Stamp and Die Bundle was stamped on Black Licorice of Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The phrase was trimmed into a strip and adhered to the design with foam adhesive.
