Today I am sharing two patriotic colors cards with new products from the release - one love themed and one birthday themed! I always love red, white, and blue cards and the new You Make My Heart Go Boom images ad Grill-Friend images are perfect for summer-themed cards for many different occasions!

For the backgrounds, the Simon Says Stamp Dimensional Stars Embossing Folder was used to emboss 4" x 5 1/4" backgrounds. The coordinating stencils were inked with Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Marine, Royal, and Cherry.
The backgrounds were spritzed with water from a Mini Mister to "dull" and "fade" the inks a bit.
The backgrounds were allowed to air dry and then splattered with white gouache.
The MFT Stamps Stitched Tall Rainbow Die-namics were die cut from MFT Stamps Stars and Stripes 6x6 Patterned Paper and adhered to the backgrounds with a combination of foam adhesive and liquid adhesive for a fun dimensional effect (see video for more details and tips and tricks).
Images from the MFT Stamps Grill-Friend Stamp Set and MFT Stamps You Make My Heart Go Boom Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and colored with the following Copic Markers:
Girl Skin and Hair: E11, E13, R30, E55, E57, E59
Girl Clothing and Shoes: R24, R46, R39, B21, B34, B37, B39, C5, C8
Grill: R24, R46, R39, C5, C8, E55, E57, YR23
Boy Skin and Hair: E11, E13, R30, E55, E57, E59
Boy Clothing, Shoes, and Flag: R24, R46, R39, B21, B34, B37, B39, C5, C8
The images were die cut with the coordinating MFT Stamps Grill-Friend Die-namics and MFT Stamps You Make My Heart Go Boom Die-namics. The images were adhered to the design as shown.
Greetings from the stamp sets were stamped on Lawn Fawn Blue Jay Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiments were die cut with SSS Sentiment Labels Dies and adhered to the cards as shown.
The designs were finished with a scattering of silver star confetti.
