Happy new week and welcome to the June Edition of Making the Cut at Simon Say Stamp! I'm so excited to share this sweet little gnome home interactive simple slider card mixing the MFT Gnome Place Like Gnome Dies and Tucked In Turf Vertical Die with the Simon Says Stamp Simple Slider Dies and Lil' Gnome Die! Everything used to create the scene (and interactive element) are dies! Customization of the gnome home and other images with inks and Copic Markers give real depth and dimension to this fun scene! To create the background panel of this sweet scene I trimmed Hero Arts Mist Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and inked clouds with the Simon Says Stamp Clouds For Days Stencil and Simon Says Stamp Island Blue Ink. The Simon Says Stamp Simple Slider Dies slot was used along the top of the panel. This is where the slider will pull out the top to reveal a stamped and embossed greeting.
The grass border was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock and the edges inked with Green Leaf Ink. The border was adhered along the bottom edge of the clouds background.
A slider was die cut using the Simon Says Stamp Simple Slider Dies from Hero Arts Mist Cardstock and a sentiment from the MFT Stamps Hanging With My Gnomies Stamp Set was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The slider was slid through from the back of the panel and foam adhesive was placed around the track to make movement a bit easier.
A tab was die cut from Hero Arts Cherry Cardstock, stamped with "pull here" from the Lawn Fawn Push Here Stamp Set with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The tab was adhered to the slider to make sliding the tab easier. It's a great "handle".
The MFT Gnome Place Like Gnome Dies was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink Cardstock, Hero Arts Cherry Cardstock, Hero Arts Papaya Cardstock, Gina K Wild Dandelion Cardstock, Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell Cardstock, Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Cardstock, and Simon Says Stamp Smoke Gray Cardstock.
Shading was added to the house with Copic Markers in E40, E43, and E44. Shading was added to the door with E44. Shading was added to the door frame and rock detail with C5 and C7. Shading was added to the flowers with RV55 (pink) and YR04 (orange).
Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Ink was applied to the house top and the stem was inked with Green Leaf Ink.
A piece of Simon Says Stamp Lemon Cardstock was trimmed and placed behind the windows for "light".
The house was placed on the scene as shown. Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the flower centers and windows.
The mushrooms from the MFT Gnome Place Like Gnome Dies were die cut from Hero Arts Cherry Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Paper Bag Cardstock. Shading was added to the die cuts and white dots were added with a white pen. The mushrooms and rocks were tucked around the house as shown.
The Lil' Gnome Die was die cut from Simon Says Stamp Island Blue Cardstock, smooth white cardstock, and Hero Arts Papaya Cardstock. Shading was added to the beard with W3 and W6 and the nose was colored with E11 and E13.
Mini Hearts were die cut from multiple cardstock colors and added to the sky and to the hat as shown. The hearts were finished with a layer of Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard.
