Hello friends! The latest wplus9 release has so many amazing new stamps and dies. Some of my very favorites from the release include the adorable ostriches in Oh My Gostrich stamp set and coordinating dies to the flamingos in from the Flock Yeah stamp set and coordinating dies to the amazing Trellis Background 1 and Trellis Background 2 dies. I used some of these new goodies to create this trio of birthday cards to share with you today. I always need birthday cards and these are so super fun!
I decided to go with a mint/lime/green color combo for these fresh and fun birthday greetings today and added hints of yellow and peach throughout to add a pop of color and round out my color scheme.
The images from the Oh My Gostrich stamp set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. Greetings from both Oh My Gostrich and the And Many More Stamp Set were used to customize the birthday banners.
The circle ostrich image was customized with the circular greeting from the And Many More Stamp Set using black ink.
The shaker card was created by die cutting the circle opening from Simon Says Stamp Mint Cardstock using a Oh My Gostrich Die. The panel was stamped with images from the And Many More Stamp Set using Simon Says Stamp Mint Ink, Mint Candy Ink, and Lawn Fawn Cilantro Ink to add interest.
The panel was backed with acetate and then the up close circle image from the Oh My Gostrich stamp set was inlaid into the front frame panel. The shaker was backed with foam adhesive, the shaker filled with Honey Bee Stamps 4 Leaf Clover confetti and then backed with Lawn Fawn Cilantro Cardstock.
The banner was adhered underneath the shaker opening on the front of the card and a greeting from the And Many More Stamp Set was stamped on black cardstock with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before being trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card as shown.
My last two cards feature layered die cut backgrounds created with the Trellis Background 1 and Trellis Background 2 dies. The dies were die cut from Simon Says Stamp Mint Cardstock and h Lawn Fawn Cilantro Cardstock using the Gemini Die Cutter. The two panels were adhered one on top of another and then backed with Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf Cardstock.
The ostrich and accessory images were adhered to the center of each card as shown and the banners were adhered with foam adhesive.
Additional greetings stamped and embossed on black cardstock were adhered underneath each banner.
