The strips were adhered to the basic rectangle, the excess trimmed away and the background run through a die cutting machine to flatten and secure the strips to the backing panel.
A sentiment from the stamp set was stamped on SSS Slate Gray Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was die cut with a SSS Sentiment Labels Die and adhered to the center of the snowflake with foam adhesive.
Heart accents were added to the card as shown.
The panel was adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.
The same steps were used for the second card only a Simon Says Stamp Slimlilne Nested Rectangles base was used this time. The other snowflakes were used on the slimline panel to fill up the space.
For the matching gift tag I used strips from the Simon Says Stamp Strips 2 set and the same colors of cardstock. The snowflake was stamped and embossed before being die cut. Another snowflake was die cut and stamped with "to/from". The tags were adhered back to back, a hole punched, and finished with some Lawn Trimmings Twine.

I'm a huge fan of creating multiple cards at once, especially when I've got the stamps set up in my MISTI. The 6"x8" Snowflake Cascade Stamp Set is just one of those sets that is perfect with this technique!
The snowflake bracket image was stamped on one half of the cardstock background, the paper was flipped and the image was stamped again using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Each panel was adhered to a white top fold card base.
Envelope flaps were stamped and embossed to match the card.

Happy Friday! Earlier this month when I was sharing some cards featuring the Simon Says Stamp Let's Connect Release products I asked what you wanted to see used from the release and the overwhelming winner was the Crackle Background (and Reverse Crackle Background) so today I'm sharing my take on ink smooshing over a stamped and embossed crackle background and y'all.... it might just be my favorite way to use this background. Seriously. The results are so, so good! In addition to the ink smooshing I used the Summer Roses Gina K Exclusive for Simon Says Stamp. Let's get started!

THE BACKGROUND
The Crackle Background was stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Speckled Egg, Antique Linen, and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks were pressed into a glass mat work surface, spritzed with only 1 - 2 times with water and picked up with leftover stamp packaging before being "smooshed" into the background.I love how this gives a more organic, imperfect look than ink blending. The embossed areas resist the ink making this the perfect crackle background! What colors would you use? The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to try this with all my favorite Distress Ink color combos!
When the background is dry, I die cut it with an A2 Thin Frames Die and discarded the thin frame. I also die cut the thin frame from Polished Gold Mirror Cardstock. The outer frame, gold thin frame, and center panel were then adhered to a white top fold card base.

Hello friends! I'm sharing three ways to use a sunshine stencil today for quick and easy, yet stunning cards. We will be using Deco Foil Transer Gel Duo and Foil on one background, applying Gold Glitz Glitter Gel to colored cardstock for the another background, and applying dye inks through the stencil first and finishing with White Glitz Glitter Gel on top for a rainbow of glittery rays for the third card. All designs were finished with a die cut heart in the center that features a greeting! My favorite thing about these cards? They mix and match supplies from many companies. This is always one of my most favorite techniques and ways to extend your supplies!

All three backgrounds started with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of cardstock and each was stenciled with the MFT Stamps Radiating Rays Stencil.
The heart was applied to the background with foam adhesive squares and finished with a scattering of Little Things Sprinkles Big Hearts embellishments.
The background of this card was created by applying a layer of Deco Foil Transer Gel Duo through the stencil using a Stencil Pal. The gel was allowed to dry for an hour before Rainbow Foil was used with a Die Cutting Machine to apply the foil to the gel. This gel can be used with either a laminator OR a die cutting machine.
Each background was secured to a white top fold card base to finish the designs.

This gorgeous 6" x 8" Festive Flower Stamp Set is perfect for creating gorgeous, elegant holiday cards! I repeatedly stamped the large floral from the set around a stamped and embossed sentiment and colored in the images with Polychromos on Lawn Fawn Storm Cloud Cardstock.

The large floral design from the set was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder. The edges of the panel were stamped with the large image and smaller image, repeating the embossing each time.
The images were colored in with the following Polychromos Colored Pencil color combinations:
Poinsettias: White, Deep Red, Dark Red, Dark Naples Ochre
Dark Green Leaves: White, Hooker's Green, Permanent Green Olive
Light Green Leaves: White, May Green
Picket Fence Distress Paint was watered down a bit and splattered over the panel to distress the beautifully colored background.

We're celebrating the Joy of the Season with the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember exclusive limited edition stamp set from Gina K Designs! This amazing 6"x 8" stamp set is full of gorgeous holiday images and sentiments perfect for getting an early start on our holiday cards! With the Alcohol Ink Lift Technique you can get two cards in one, stretching those supplies, and of course adding to your card stash! Let's get started!

I was able to get four cards from two backgrounds (I did use an additional background for one of the cards but you wouldn't have to!). The backgrounds are the star of the show here, with simple stamped and embossed vellum greetings for three of the cards and die cut greetings for two of the designs. A simple inlay Frame is the perfect way to draw the viewer's eye and to add visual interest to the gorgeous backgrounds. It breaks up the design without taking away from it! One of my favorite go-to techniques!
I applied the alcohol inks to Yupo Cardstock with some of my favorite alcohol ink color combinations listed below.
When the background were dry, I used the MISTI stamp positioner tool and stamped the Joy of the Season Gina K STAMPtember Stamp Set with Alcohol Lift Ink on the inked background, removed the paper from the MISTI and stamped the image on plain smooth white cardstock. The Alcohol Lift Ink lifts the ink from the alcohol inked background and transfers it to the smooth white cardstock, giving you two backgrounds in one! Love that!
On the alcohol inked backgrounds I used a clean, dry paper towel to remove the excess Alcohol Lift Ink, blotting until the beautiful images showed through.
A Simon Says Stamp Frames Die was used to die cut a thin, border frame from each background panel. I die cut the frame from Frosted Silver Cardstock and then created inlay designs for all four background panels. On the white trees background I substituted another alcohol inked background for the outer border for more interest than the plain white border.
For the snowflake cards, the Believe Dies were used to die cut greetings to adhere above the stamped phrases. Rainbow Iridescent Rhinestones were adhered throughout the design for embellishment. On the trees cards, Mini Silver Star Confetti were scattered throughout the background to complete the cards.

Today Simon Says Stamp has a brand new limited edition exclusive with Gina K, Warmer With You (this is the first year doing a collaboration with Gina and we are super excited about it!)! This awesome stamp set is perfect for creating holiday or winter themed cards. I am sharing a couple of masking techniques for my Christmas card share today. Let's get started!
I started with the Snowmen from the Warmer With You Stamp Set and stamped and masked them on a sheet of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Keeping the masks in place, I stamped the trees from the stamp set using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. While the Distress Oxide Ink was still wet (it has pigment ink in it so it will stay wet longer) I added a layer of clear embossing powder over the top to seal in the color and create an additional "mask". The trees would have been really difficult to cut traditional masks for!
With all the images now masked, I added Wild Honey Distress Ink as a "sun" and Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks for the "blue sky". I buffed any remaining ink from the embossed areas of the trees and removed the paper masks.
A greeting from the Warmer With You Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom edge of the design as shown.
I colored in the snowmen images with Copic markers and created "snow" for them to sit in with the markers as well. The Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen was used for parts of the images and a black gel pen was used for the eyes and buttons on each snowman image.
Once the embossing paste was completely dry, a vellum frame was created using a Basic Rectangles Die and a Stitched Ovals Die. The sentiment was again stamped, this time with StazOn so that the part of the greeting that is covered up by the vellum frame is still legible and easy to read.
A frame was die cut using two Basic Rectangle Dies and all three layers were secured to a white side fold card base.
The design was finished with some ice chips glitter on the trees and on the ground around the snowmen and Glossy Accents on the snowmen's noses.
