Welcome to the Sunny Studio Stamps 4th Birthday Blog Hop & Giveaway!
We are celebrating four years of Sunny Studio Stamps today! I am such a huge fan of fun gift packaging for small gifts or gift cards. You're going to love the new Sweet Treats Bag Dies.
Looking for a great way to do your gift giving this holiday season and beyond? The new Sweet Treat Bag Dies and Sweet Treat House Add On are perfect. Dress them up with your favorite holiday stamps and dies or die cuts for completely different looks.
The Sweet Treat Bag Die was die cut from Hero Arts Arctic Blue Cardstock twice. It was ran through a machine and embossed with the new Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder for some subtle texture.
Along the flap for the bag a Feeling Frosty sentiment was curved and stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The Woodland Borders Die was used to die cut snowy borders for the bottom of the card. The borders were adhered along the bottom edge of the bag.
The Feeling Frosty images were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, die cut with the coordinating dies, and adhered to the bag as shown.

The Sunny Studio Sliding Window Dies is hands down one of my most favorite interactive die sets. I have long been a fan of the pull tab sliding windows but was so intimidated to create my own. This awesome set makes creating them a snap! I highly, highly recommend this die set.
I die cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Really Rainbow Scallops patterned paper background with the frame and notch. This is the front on the card. In fact, this card isn't going to open traditionally but will pull up to reveal the "inside" of the card with another stamped and embossed sentiment!
The measurements for trimming the remaining components are as follows:
Slider (white cardstock): 3 1/4" x 5" (the length on this can be adjusted after you've put the slider together.)
Front panel (white cardstock): 3" x 4"
Thin strips (green cardstock): 1/4" x 3"
The llama, shamrocks, and sentiment for the front of the card were stamped from the Wooly Lucky Stamp Set with Intense Black Ink and Lucky Dye Ink as shown. The images were colored in with Copic Markers and embellished with a white pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard. This panel on the sliding window is one of my favorite ways to "disguise" the fact that this llama doesn't have a coordinating die. No fussy cutting required! Whoohoo!!!
Gold star sequisn from the kit are the perfect accent and pull out the yellows/gold from the buckle and blanket.
The back of the card was created from the Green Apple Cardstock in the kit, stamped with another sentiment from the Wooly Llama Stamp Set using clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.
The panel was secured to the green card base with foam adhesive. Foam adhesive makes the sliding window work easier.

Today I created a couple of Sliding Window cards featuring new stamps and dies from the 3rd Birthday Release! These sliding window cards provide the perfect spot to tuck a gift card at the holidays. both cards feature elements that "pop up" when the sliding window tab is pulled up. I love the 3D effect that attaching only the bottom of the mittens and wreath add to the overall design!
The Sliding Window die was used to die cut the front panel of each card from brand new Holiday Cheer patterned papers. I loved the white on white of the patterns I chose so that the rest of the elements really shown through in the finished design!
For the die cut mittens card, the mittens and mug were die cut from Holiday Cheer patterned papers. using the new Warm & Cozy Dies, assembled, and adhered along the scored folding edge of the sliding window. Because I only attached the bottom of each mitten, the design "pops up" when the pull tab is pulled up!
"Merry Christmas" from the Polar Playmates Stamp Set was stamped on Simon Says Stamp Smoke Cardstock using clear embossing ink, embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card as shown.
The Greetings die was die cut from silver glitter paper adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and adhered below the stamped greeting strip.
The design was finished with a scattering of Rainbow Rhinestones in the center of some of the patterned paper snowflakes.
The Happy Owlidays card Sliding Window base was created the same as the first card. This time I stamped the wreath and owl from Happy Owlidays on smooth white cardstock with black ink, colored in the images with Copic Markers, die cut with the coordinating dies, and adhered them only to the bottom of the sliding window so that the wreath pops up with the tab is pulled up.
Snowflakes from the Happy Owlidays stamp set were stamped with red ink around the background. The Greetings die was die cut from Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock three times and adhered one on top of another before being adhered to the card base. A greeting from the Happy Owlidays stamp set was stamped on Simon Says Stamp Smoke Cardstock using clear embossing ink, embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered to the card.
