Hello! Today I'm excited to share some foiled and flocked background cards that don't require heat! That's right, no laminator needed! All you need is the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo, stencil, and a die cutting machine! The Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo is made to work with or without heat. How awesome is that?!!!!

The most time consuming part of this project is the dry time for the Transfer Gel Duo. I trimmed Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock, smooth white cardstock, and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and applied the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo through the Simon Says Stamp Tumbling Hearts Stencil. The recommended dry time is one hour however I found I got the best results when I applied the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo the evening before and let the transfer gel dry overnight, foiling and flocking first thing the next morning. *see video for tips
On the Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock background, I used White Flock Transfer. The flocking is the medium that benefited the most from the increased dry time. I love the texture flocking adds to a card background! On the white background I foiled Red Velvet Deco Foil over the design.
On the foiled background I used an A2 Thin Frame Die to die cut a frame from the foiled background and to die cut a frame from Black Velvet Mirror Cardstock. The foiled thin frame was replaced with the black cardstock frame for the inlay background! This is one of my all-time favorite ways to add a little something to a background!
Both cards features the You Are Loved Die sentiment. I die cut the thin die cut greeting from specialty cardstocks adhered to Fun Foam with Stick It Adhesive and matted them on the background die cut from smooth white cardstock.
A Sentiment Strips Cheeky Love greeting was trimmed into a strip and adhered below the die cut greetings with foam adhesive. No stamping required for any of my cards today!
Both cards were embellished with extra die cut hearts from the cardstock/Stick It/Fun Foam cardstock scraps I had left over from the greetings. I used my favorite Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Set die for these itty, bitty hearts. Honey Bee Stamps Crystal Clear gems were used to embellish the hearts in the sentiment.
This next red background was foiled with Deco Foil Sparkling Silver Fancy Foil. An A2 Thin Frame Die was used to die cut a frame from the foiled background and black cardstock to create another inlay design like the one above.
This time I used the Simon Says Stamp picture Book Mocha Die to die cut Lawn Fawn Fog Cardstock, Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock, and Simon Says Stamp Cream Off Cardstock to create the stacking mocha cups! Pinkfresh Studio Rocky Slope Ink was used to ink the light gray cup, Candy Apple Ink to ink the red cup, and Warm Buff Ink to ink the whipping topping. The cups were adhered to the card background with foam adhesive and finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black for the eyes, a fine tip black pen for the eyelashes, and white pen detail.
A Sentiment Strips Cheeky Love greeting was trimmed into a strip and adhered below the die cut greetings with foam adhesive. I again used my favorite Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Set die for those itty, bitty heart accents.
I love rainbow foil on black! This card features the Deco Foil Rainbow on the black cardstock background.
The other You Are Loved die cut sentiment was used for this card. I love the difference the scripty style font makes on a card. A completely different look!
A Sentiment Strips Cheeky Love greeting was trimmed into a strip and adhered below the die cut greetings with foam adhesive.
The design was finished with a scattering of Honey Bee Stamps Rainbow Gems.
This white background features the Deco Foil Summer Rainbow foil!
I also used the scripty You Are Loved die cut sentiment for this card.
A Sentiment Strips Cheeky Love greeting was trimmed into a strip and adhered below the die cut greetings with foam adhesive.
