For the gift package snowman, the gift package was stitched in place first and then hot glued the eyes and carrot nose in place before stitching the snowman body panels together, sandwiching the arms between the two layers and including the scarf. A small opening was left open and the snowman was stuffed full of polyester fiberfill. The snowman was finished being stitched together and then the arms were hot glued in place.
The hat panels were stitched to the top of the snowman head, sandwiching twine between the layers for an ornament hanger and also slightly stuffed. The hat was adorned with the holly and berries. The berries were embellished with sequins and seed beads. A small heart was hot glued to the behind on the snowman.
For the heart snowman, the Bear Hugs heart from was hot glued in place and adorned with a bow. The scarf was adorned with seed beads before being adhered to the snowman front.
The snowman was assembled exactly like the first snowman.

Today's gift tags are inspired by THESE Bear Hugs Ornaments I made during the holiday season. I love the Essentials By Ellen Bear Hugs bear so much that I'm finding ways to make felt ornaments year round just by changing up the accessories, colors, and what the bear is holding! Just like the holiday felt plush ornaments I added perfectly matching gift tags with the coordinating All Inside Stamp Set. Simply remove the paper tag and the recipient is left with an adorable plush ornament decoration! I pulled out all the stops with these: they are stuffed with polyester fiberfill, I sewed on sequins/beads, additional felt pieces were added and I even made heart-shaped paper tags that can be removed after the gift has been given so that the bear can be an ornament or decoration.

To watch the creation of these valentines bear hugs felt plush gift tags from start to finish, click HERE or watch below:
Each felt bear was created using the following:
Cut two of the Bear Hugs bear shape using Marshmallow, Heather White, or Heather Gray felt.
Cut hearts with the Candy Hearts dies using Red Hot, Cherry Blossom, and Pink Sherbert felt. (use the little mini hearts for cheeks and backside of the bears)
Cut hair bows with the Put A Bow On It dies using Red Hot, Cherry Blossom, and Pink Sherbert felt.
The bears were stitched back to back, twine was sandwiched between the layers, and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.
Bows from the Put A Bow On It were hot glued together and then hot glued to the top of each bear's head.
The arms were stitched at the sides and hot glued over the present and tree to secure them to the front.
For the matching gift tags, the Mama Elephant Scallop Tags Trio were used to die cut a Bristol Smook Cardstock tag for the front and a smoke gray cardstock tag for the back.
The bear from the All Inside Stamp Set was stamped on each white tag, the arms were masked, and a heart was stamped in the arms of each bear. The masks were removed and the images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
A black pen was used to add detail to the eyes and nose. A white pen adds highlight to the nose.
On the gray cardstock back of each tag, a sentiment from The Stamp Market Bear Hugs Stamp Set was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The tags were threaded onto the twine and the twine knotted to secure each paper tag to the felt tag.

Welcome to Day 4 of my last minute Handmade Holiday 2018 Series!
I'm back with my fifth year of last minute handmade ideas! Five years, you guys. Wow. Thank you so much for your support of this series. I have been overwhelmed and almost considered not doing the series this year but I kept getting emails and comments asking for it so I sat down to make a list of projects I could do and I got really excited. So this series is for you crafting friends. I appreciate each and every one of you and y'all make this possible. Much love to everyone.
Even with the craziness of the season I like to be able to add handmade touches to gifts for our friends and family. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing mostly quick (an hour or less) Handmade Holiday ideas for cards, tags and gift wrapping sure to add that handmade touch we all love. Most ideas will include multiples (today I created five felt ornament tags with matching paper tags)!
Each Handmade Holiday project blog post will feature a brand new, never before seen project(s) plus an incredible giveaway from a generous sponsor!
BEAR HUGS FELT ORNAMENT GIFT TAGS
Today's gift tags are inspired by these Plush Felt Ornaments I made two years ago. Want more ideas on felt ornament tags you can make? Check them out HERE. This year's felt plush ornaments feature perfectly matching gift tags with the coordinating Bear Ware Stamp Set. Simply remove the paper tag and the recipient is left with an adorable plush ornament decoration! These tags aren't as fast as some of my other projects but they are totally worth it. I pulled out all the stops with these: they are stuffed with polyester fiberfill, I sewed on sequins/beads, additional felt pieces were added and I even made interactive paper tags that can be removed after the gift has been given so that the bear can be an ornament. In the video I will give some tips for making these a bit quicker and easier if you're pressed for time. ;)

I kind of have a bear theme going with this year's Handmade Holiday Series. We've got the polar bears from THESE gift tags, the polar bear sticking out of the pocket in THESE gift bags, and now some felt ornament tags! I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do. And, if you're short on time, try making the paper part of the gift tag only. It's super cute and all five were made in less than an hour!
Each felt bear was created using the following:
Cut two of the Bear Hugs bear shape from white or gray felt.
Cut arms from the Bear Hugs dies from matching white or gray felt.
The Bear Hugs gift package was backstitched to the bear front with red embroidery floss and the "ribbon and bow" with silver embroidery floss.
Eyes were created with french knots and a mouth was backstitched with black embroidery floss.
Sequins and seed beads were stitched by the holly leaves.
The Winter Window tree was hot glued to the design and then a star sequin and shimmer seed bead were stitched to secure the top.
The Home and Hearth red felt heart was hot glued to the backside of each bear and then the bear was stitched together, securing red/white backer's twine at the top, stuffing each full of polyester fiberfill to make a dimensional ornament.
The arms were stitched at the sides and hot glued over the present and tree to secure them to the front.
Here's a close up look of the detail of the sequins and seed beads. I love the bit of sparkle they add to this project!
For the matching gift tags, the Mama Elephant Framed Tags Union Square were used to die cut a solid red cardstock tag for the bag. The tag and stitched interactive opening were used to die cut Bristol Smooth Cardstock for the tag fronts.
The hat and candy cane from the Bear Ware 2 Stamp Set were stamped on the tag fronts, masked and then the bear from the All Inside Stamp Set was stamped. The masks were removed and the images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
A black pen was used to add detail to the eyes and nose. A white pen adds highlight to the nose.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were added to the brim of the hat and the pompom.
Greetings from the the Bear Ware 2 Stamp Set were stamped on the red tag with clear embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.
The tag front was secured to the red solid tag with 1/8" scor tape.
The tag was threaded on to the baker's twine with the felt plush ornament to finish the design.

As excited as I am about the two new Leading Ladies this month, I am just as excited about fantastic dies that make scene building a breeze! The new Snowfall Backdrop Die and Winter Window Dies as well as a stencil and Distress Inks were used to create the indoor gift wrap scene with a window to the falling snow outdoors!
A piece of smooth white cardstock was inked with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and the Tim Holtz Slate Stencil. I masked off the bottom 3/4" of the panel for the "floor" and inked it with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The Winter Window Dies was die cut from the "wall" so I could create an inlay. The new Snowfall Backdrop Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock, trimmed to fit in the space die cut by the Winter Window and inked with Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. The trees and snowy hills from the new Winter Window Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock. The trees were inked with Forest Moss and Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the images were adhered over the falling snow as shown. The icicles were die cut from Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Sparkle paper and adhered to look like ice hanging from the house. The window was inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, layered over another die cut window and adhered over the snowy scene to complete the background.
Images from the Holiday Shopper Lady and the Bookworm Lady stamp sets were stamped on smooth white cardstock, die cut with the coordinating Holiday Shopper Lady Dies and Bookworm Lady Dies and adhered to the scene as shown. "Ho Ho Ho" from the Ugly Sweater Accessories Stamp Set was stamped on the Holiday Shopper Lady sweater with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. White pen detail was added to images throughout the design to customize wrapping paper, clothing, etc.
A sentiment from the Holiday Shopper Lady Stamp Set was stamped inside the card to complete the design.

Hello friends! The latest Leading Ladies Release from Ellen Hutson is now available in the EH Store! I've created several cards with the latest release. Be sure to check out my cards featuring hand drawn and colored backgrounds HERE on the EH Blog and keep scrolling for today's interactive Teacher Lady Reveal Wheel card!
Mixing and matching supplies from different manufacturers is my favorite thing to do. Today we're taking the interactive Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Dies and pairing them with the new Teacher Lady stamps and coordinating dies for this custom teacher-themed card with a custom stamped and colored patterned background.
I die cut the Reveal Wheel and the Reveal Wheel Speech Bubble Add On from smooth white cardstock and stamped images from the Teacher Lady Stamp Set all over the panel as shown. I colored in the images and the background with Copic Markers and added detailing with a white opaque pen and Glossy Accents. The Reveal Wheel Speech Bubble Add On frame was die cut from black cardstock and adhered around the window opening.
Sentiments from the Teacher Lady Stamp Set were stamped on the interactive Reveal Wheel with black ink and then the Reveal Wheel was assembled (see video for step-by-step instructions).
The Teacher Lady and additional accessory images were stamped on smooth white cardstock, die cut with the coordinating dies, and colored in with Copic Markers. The Teacher Lady was adhered to the Reveal Wheel panel with foam adhesive as shown.

I can't tell you guys how much I absolutely adore this release from Julie Ebersole for Ellen Hutson!!! Mermaids? Shell Yeah!Unicorns and Rainbows? Those are totally my jam! Add in the most amazing interactive slider element and y'all are going to want to get the whole kit and caboodle! And you can. Click HERE if you're like me and have to have it ALL!!!! I used something from every single new product for my two card shares today. That is how much I love this whole release. Let's get started, shall we?
I had to start off with the Rainbow Slider. For an in depth description on how to put this together be sure to watch my video tutorial below. It's actually quite easy and I can't wait to make more cards with this awesome die collection!
I die cut the elements from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then inked the front panel with Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks before spritzing with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotting dry.
Greetings from the Pure Magic Stamp Set were stamped below the slider window opening. The first greeting was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder and the second phrase was stamped with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink. The rainbow was inked with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks and then assembled (see video). The panel was adhered to a white side fold card base with foam adhesive.
The die cut clouds from the Rainbow Slider were adhered to the front of the card as shown. Unicorns and hearts from the Unicorns 'n Rainbows Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers before being die cut with the coordinating dies. The images were adhered to the card to complete the interactive design!
Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink was used to ink the background of the Inner Mermaid card. Water from a Distress Sprayer was spritzed over the background and blotted dry with a paper towel.
The sunshine panels from Silver Lining were die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and inked with Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink before being spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted dry. The panels were matted on white cardstock and adhered to the Salty Ocean background. Clouds from Silver Lining were die cut and adhered along the bottom edge of the sunshine. A greeting from Inner Mermaid was stamped on the sunshine background with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Inner Mermaid images were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard were applied to parts of the mermaid tail to make it sparkly iridescent! The design was finished with a scattering of Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard, Gloss White, Dandelion Yellow, and Ripened Pumpkin.
