Happy Monday and welcome to the June My Monthly Hero Blog Hop! Today I am sharing these two galaxy style backgrounds using stamps, stencils, and dies add ons from the June Release and Distress Oxide Inks.
***Hero Arts is working on restarting our operations in a safe manner, bringing back our production and shipping teams with social distancing, and keeping our warehouse cleaned under the strictest standards. We are first focusing on all of the orders in-house for all of our wonderful and patient customers, subscribers, and international customers, and hope to get back to regular shipping times once we are through what was delayed. We estimate June kits and add-ons will begin shipping on June 18, after all previous orders have gone out.***

Watch the creation of these two galaxy sky backgrounds cards from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
Both card feature ink blended backgrounds with Distress Oxide Inks and a spritz or two of Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer Mist. One background then features stenciling with the new Shooting Star Stencil and Gina K Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel and the other features paint splatter, stamping and embossing with the Galaxy Pee-a-Boo Parts background stamp, and painting with Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.
The background of the card below was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot. The background was spritzed with Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer Mist and allowed to air dry.
The background was die cut with the Hero Arts Circular Peek-A-Boo Fancy Die, splattered with white opaque paint, and stamped and embossed with the Galaxy Pee-a-Boo Parts background stamp and white embossing powder.
Some of the images were painted with Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust.
The astronauts from the Galaxy Pee-a-Boo Parts Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Intens-ified Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers before being fussy cut and adhered to the background with foam adhesive. The astronauts and greeting will cover a few of the windows so they won't open.
The greeting from the Galaxy Pee-a-Boo Parts Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with Hero Arts Navy Ink and die cut with a Hero Arts Nesting Circles Infinity Die and adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
The peek-a-boo panel was backed with foam adhesive and adhered over the background as shown.
The astronaut helmets w erefinished with Hero Arts Crystal Lacquer.
The second background was was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot. The background was spritzed with Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer Mist and allowed to air dry.
Gina K Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel was applied through the stencil with a palette knife and allowed to air dry. The iridescent gel picks up a touch of the color of the background inking for a beautiful, shimmery, glittery effect!
The Music In The Night Fancy Die was die cut from a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of Hero Hues Pitch Black Cardstock. A sentiment from the Hero Arts You're My Universe Stamp Set was stamped on the window frame with Hero Arts Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The clouds from the Music In The Night Stamp Set were stamped with Hero Arts Navy Ink and the shooting star with Dandelion and Indigo inks. The images were adhered to the background panel as shown. The frame was adhered over the stenciled galaxy background with foam adhesive.
