Hello! The Delicate Flowers 6 x 8 stamp set (from the May 2019 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit) is full of gorgeous florals, leaves, and sentiments. I also used the set for THESE cards with alcohol pearl inked backgrounds. My card today features no masking for a super quick and easy watercolored floral card that looks like it's much more time consuming than it is! The image looks like it's one big floral collage, however it's actually SIX stamps combines to make this gorgeous spray!!!

On Bristol Smooth Cardstock the largest floral from the Delicate Flowers 6 x 8 stamp set was stamped in the upper half of the panel using clear embossing ink and heat setting with white embossing powder. Next, a smaller bloom was stamped slightly overlapping the first flower. I stamped it with clear embossing ink, added the white embossing powder and then before heat setting, I carefully removed any embossing powder from the areas that overlap the first flower. Once I was sure there was no overlap I heat set the second bloom. I followed these same steps for all the remaining images, removing any "overlap" each time. No masking required! Hooray!
A sentiment form the Delicate Flowers 6 x 8 stamp set was stamped with black ink to the right of the images.
Once the flowers were all stamped and embossed I added color to the flowers and leaves with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush pen. I used the following colors:
- Flowers: Carmine Red, Pale Pink
- Leaves: Emerald Green, Green Shadow
Because the stems on the leaves is embossed in white on a white background it makes the leaves look a bit like they are just "floating". I carefully traced the stems with my Emerald Green marker to help ground them. ;)
I created my own black and white striped paper by stamping the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background on a scrap of smooth white cardstock with black ink. I trimmed this into a thin strip and adhered it along the right edge of my card base as shown. I adhered to floral layer to the card base to finish my card.
