The Mama Elephant Slim Comic Strip Creative Cuts Dies was die cut from smooth white cardstock. Each "section" was stamped with the waves from the Mama Elephant Summer Splash Stamp/Die Set using clear embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. A greeting from the set was stamped in one of the sections with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Water from a Distress Sprayer was splattered over the panels for a bit of distressing. Once dry, the frame and panel were adhered to a 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" white slimline card base. The Mama Elephant Slim Comic Strip Creative Cuts Dies frame was die cut three more times and adhered one on top of another for a dimensional frame.
The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the mini sections as shown.
The card was finished with a scattering of stars and hearts.

While you can create cards for all the seasons with the Truckin' Through the Seasons Large Die of the Month Club Kit Dies, I made three today: a Christmas card, a fall/Thanksgiving card, and a summertime vacation card. Y'all, I couldn't love this die set more. Truly. How absolutely adorable is this truck?!!!!! I want to make all the seasonal cards with it!
As summer is giving way to autumn here in the midwest USA I decided to create one last summer-themed card with this awesome beach themed truck. That gorgeous beachy patterned paper? That is from the Spellbinders October Card Kit of the Month. I knew I wanted to keep the focus on the die cut truck but still be really intentional with my paper choices to help "tell the story".
The strip was trimmed to 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and matted on a glitter cardstock (this one is from the Hero Arts October Card Kit of the Month) before being adhered to a white top fold card base as shown.
The truck dies and accessories were die cut from regular cardstocks, mirror cardstocks, assembled as shown, and the beachball was finished with a layer of Glossy Accents.
The strip was trimmed to 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and matted on a glitter cardstock (this one is from the Lawn Fawn Holiday Sparkle collection) before being adhered to a white top fold card base as shown.
The truck dies and accessories were die cut from regular cardstocks, mirror cardstocks, and assembled as shown.
The patterned paper for the fall/Thanksgiving truckin' card are also from the Spellbinders October Card Kit of the Month. The soft orange of this pattern compliments the orange/white pumpkins and navy truck!

Today I have a layout and card celebrating summer sunshine. I thought it would be fun to create a couple of projects using sunshine icons. I love adding sunshine shapes to my projects, whether it be scrapbook page layouts or cards. There are tons of ways to use them and so many of the Simple Stories Collections showcase sunshine icons in one way or another. I'm using sunshine designs from the Sn@p! Summer Collection for both of my projects today however Good Day Sunshine and Summer Paradise are two recent collections which feature sunshine elements as well.
For my layout I combined 12x12 patterned papers from the DIY Boutique Collection and Say Cheese Collections. I love how easy it is to mix and match the paper designs from the Simple Stories Collections! I drew several circles in the Silhouette Cameo Software and used the offset button to create approximately 1/4" outer circle for each. I then cut the larger (offset) circle shapes from the Say Cheese text paper and cut the smaller circle from the other Say Cheese black tone-on-tone patterned paper. When these two papers are layered together it provides a lovely "frame" to pop some of the Summer Sn@p! Insta-Square Cards and Summer Sn@p! 3x4 cards behind!
I embellished these circles with stickers and brads.
I printed a 6x8 photo collage and trimmed the top row apart from the rest to split above and below the 4x6 Summer Sn@p! Card I used for the title of my page. I added thin patterned paper strips from the DIY Boutique 6x6 Paper Pad above and below the journaling card and layered a couple of the DIY Collection Office Journal Layers around the title card.
I finished the page with a few phrase stickers on top of some of the photos in the collage and a strip of the tone-on-tone black paper along the right edge adorned with Say Cheese brads.
To create the "hey there sunshine" card I first used a manual die cutting machine and some steel rule dies from my collection to die cut several of the 4x6 Summer Sn@p! journaling cards with the SSS Hexagon Background Craft Die. I cut the design again from some smooth white cardstock, matted the "frame" on a piece of cardstock trimmed to the same size as the hexagon background and started replacing the "inside" hexagon shapes using the colorful patterns. This creates a wonderful inlay style background!
I die cut a 3x4 journaling card with a banner die for the "greeting" of my card and adorned the sunshine with some glasses stickers and glued some fun wiggle eyes inside the glasses.
I trimmed a thin strip from one if the other cards to adhere along the top of the banner, layered another die cut banner made from vellum behind and wrapped some pretty twine around the top, tying it into a bow. I stapled the two banners together at the top and secured them to the card.
Easy, bright and FUN!

A stamped the greeting from the SSS Ice Cream Dream Stamp Set with SSS Black Ink to the watercolored stamped background. I die cut a vellum circle using the stitched circe from the LF Party Banners Die Collection and stamped and embossed the same greeting with white embossing powder. I adhered the stamped circle over the black stamped greeting, slightly off-setting it for a great "shadow" text look!
I added a strip of patterned paper and a really thin strip of SSS Doll Pink Cardstock to the bottom of the watercolored stamped background and glued all my embellished die cut shapes in place to complete the card.
I trimmed about 1/8" off one long and one short side of the background and then popped the whole design up on the card base with my favorite foam adhesive.

The frozen treat images in this month's stamp set are so fun to color! I used masking tape to mask off some of the stamped images so that I could create a single stamped "scene" to color. I used Copic Markers to color in the design (the individual markers I used are listed and linked below in the supplies).
I added some shadows to the stamped scene with some Cool Gray Copic Markers (see video for more details).
I used the new SSS Frames skinny rectangle border frame to cut out the stamped and colored scene (keeping the inside piece) and cut the design 4 times from the yellow cardstock included in the kit and adhered the skinny border one on top of another for a dimensional frame all around the focal point stamped and colored piece on my card.

For the background on my card, I die cut some Doodlebug In Color 6x6 patterned paper using the largest scallop SSS Frames die (keeping on the inside rounded rectangle piece). I also die cut a piece of vellum keeping the same rounded rectangle to layer over the top of the patterned paper. I like muting the patterned background to help soften the vibrancy of the design. I die cut the scalloped border several times from white cardstock and layered them one of top of another for a dimensional look.
I used the inlay technique by die cutting the SSS Ice Cream Parade Die ice cream cone outline from white cardstock and filled in the outline with colorful icre cream created by die cutting multiple colors of SSS Cardstock.
I created texture to the ice cream cone using the lined border from the SSS Like Your Style Stamp Set, crisscrossing the design by stamping one way and then the other using SSS Khaki Ink.

In honor of the red, white and blue I have a patriotic style card with a greeting that's perfect for anytime. This design is super versatile and the color combination can be changed up to fit any country and/or occasion!
I love, love, love the SSS Lots of Stars Stamp Set and added a scattering of stamped tiny, tiny stars in the same colors of ink as the brush strokes. The stars help break up the white space at the top of the card and coordinate so well with the SSS Stars Parade Die.
I stamped the greeting from the Hero Arts Written In the Stars in Versamark and embossed it with silver embossing powder.
Over the next week I'll be sharing some sneak peeks of the soon-to-be-released Simon Says Stamp "This is the Life" Collection. You will be able to see the full reveal and purchase the new release products on Friday, July 11th!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday. :)
Today I have both a layout and card showcasing the new Simple Stories Sea To Shining Sea Collection. I am a huge fan of red, white and blue and this new mini collection is perfection. I love it!
For my layout, I used some of my favorite Simple Stories polaroid cut files from the Silhouette Online Store to create polaroid "folders" to stick my photos inside, fold over and staple shut. It's super easy to customize the cut files and create folders. In the video below I'll show you how!
I sized all the polaroid "folders" to 3" wide by 4.5" tall so that they would completely fill the width of my 12x12 layout. I placed my photos behind the polaroids with text cut outs and removed the text from the other polaroids so they cut smooth. I filled those with red, white and blue embellishments.
Layering stickers over a photo adds interest to the page and helps with the overall cohesiveness of the design.
I knew I loved the lighthouse and boat from the Sea To Shining Sea sticker sheet so I designed a "scene" using some steel rule dies plus the Simple Stories sunshine and cloud cut files from the Silhouette Online Store.
I popped up some of the elements and stickers on my card for subtle dimension, added some Wink of Stella Yellow Glitter Marker to the lighthouse windows and some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the white/cream parts of the lighthouse and boat. Layering some of the die cut elements under a sheet of vellum and layering the remaining stickers and die cuts on top of the vellum gives depth and dimension to the card.

I'm so excited to be sharing a brand new 2-page layout today showcasing two of my very favorite companies, Kerri Bradford Studio and Simple Stories!
I love layouts that tell a story over a period of time, like an entire vacation or event all on a single layout spread. In this case I created a 2-page layout showcasing favorite photos from an entire month. I love how Kerri's photo templates make it so easy to add lots of photos to a page yet keeps the design clean and simple. (I used templates from Kerri's brand new Photo Montage Kit and her Photo Strips #1 Kit.) My layout has a total of thirty-one photos!!!
With so many photos/photo templates on my page I went with a white on white cardstock background (I used one of Kerri's Background Basics designs die cut from a 12x12 sheet and layered over another white sheet of cardstock for subtle texture).
Kerri has a great promotion going on right now. Be sure to use the coupon code below to save on your next order over $20...
