Hello friends! Today I'm sharing these two faux watercolor with markers Peony Bouquet Backgrounds cards. Coloring directly on stamps with markers and reactivating with a fine mist of water from a Mini Mister before stamping on watercolor cardstock creates an incredible watercolor looking stamped image. This technique is also a great way to create a background of multiple colors when working with a solid stamp. Die cut and stamped greetings are my favorite way to finish these beautiful cards.

Watch the creation of these faux watercolor with markers cards from start to finish below or click HERE to watch in HD:
The Peony Bouquet Background was stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2 panel of watercolor cardstock with Tombow Dual Brush Markers in 743 Hot Pink, 755 Rubine Red, 055 Process Yellow, 133 Chartreuse, and 173 Willow Green. The markers were used to color directly on the stamp and water was added with a Mini Mister before stamping the image on the watercolor cardstock. I highly recommend using a MISTI so you can stamp the image as many times as needed.
Once the background is completely dry, the panel was stamped with the You Are Background Stamp and white pigment ink.
The background was trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4".
The So Good Wafer Thin Dies were die cut from Gina K Wiild Dandelion Cardstock, Hero Hues Azalea Cardstock, and Hero Arts Vellum. The words were die cut 3 times each from solid cardstock and adhered one on top of another and adhered to the vellum shadow.
An additional sentiment was stamped on Hero Hues Kiwi Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was die cut with a Honey Bee Stamps Sentiment Banners Die and adhered to the card with foam adhesive.
