Hello friends! Thank you so much for joining me today. This simple set of masking and stenciled background cards gives the illusion of multiple layers that I love without the bulk. Some pretty stamped and die cut butterflies and a combination of a stamped and embossed "hello" with a sentiment strip for sentiments are the perfect compliment to these pretty designs!

The butterflies from the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Kisses Stamp and Die Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Spring Rain, High Dive, and Blue Jay inks, die cut, and embellished with black pens as shown in the video above. The butterflies were adhered with a combination of foam adhesive and liquid adhesive.

When I'm creating a clean and simple design like my card today I like to add an element that "dresses up" the design. For this card, it's this embossed frame around the outer edge. It adds that immediate "wow" factor without the bulk of layers!
I embossed an A2 sized panel of smooth white cardstock with Simon Says Stamp Frames Dies. In order to emboss with these dies instead of die cut, I used the tan embossing mats with my die cutting machine. This opens up a whole other option for your frame dies! You can create embossed frames so super easy!!!
I stamped the greetings in the center of the embossed frames with Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Slate dye inks.
The greenery on the card was stamped with Mint Candy, Teal, and Mint dye inks.
