Hello, friends! Today I'm sharing a couple more cards with the Simon Says Stamp August 2022 Card Kit, Vintage Garden. My goal for my SSS Card Kit videos is to show ideas with the kit only. Additional tools like dies, small embellishments, etc. are added as needed to make the kit shine! I am loving the colors of the kit this month and took direction from the patterned paper when creating!

To create the background, I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Vine Background Die three times from the smooth white cardstock included in the kit and adhered each one to the Smoke Notecards also included in the kit.
The greetings were die cut with Simon Says Stamp Nested Ovals Dies and adhered to each card as shown by hiding liquid adhesive behind the embossed areas.
The butterflies were inked with Hero Arts Soft Olive and Charcoal inks for embossed resist and die cut before being adhered to the design with the foam adhesive squares from the kit.
The cards were finished with a scattering of heart accents.

The 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" scallop panel from the Slim Window Dressing Creative Cuts was die cut from smooth white cardstock. The stitching line to the scallop was masked off with post it tape. Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Shaded Lilac were stenciled on the panel with a Lawn Fawn Hillside Stencil for a bright rainbow! Additional stenciling was added with the stars stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Simple Duo Stencil.
The Big Best Wishes Creative Cuts was die cut from the background and all pieces saved. The greeting was die cut twice more from smooth white cardstock.
The panel was adhered to a white slimline card base and the white die cut greeting was inlaid in the panel. Another white die cut was adhered on top and finished with the stenciled die cut.
Images from the Milkshake Stamp Set and Donut Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with no line coloring ink. The following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers were used for each image:
The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
A sentiment from the Donut Stamp Set was stamped above the die cut greeting with black ink.
The card was finished with a scattering of mini iridescent star confetti.

I used all the same supplies for all four cards, just mixed up the background papers used and the sentiment strips.
The Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Everything Winter were foiled with silver foil before being adhered to each design. It's a small thing, but one that makes a big difference. I love that the text now matches the rest of the card(s)!

All three backgrounds were created exactly the same just on different colors of cardstock. The Prismatic Snowflakes were stamped around the edges of the background panel and embossed with gold, silver, clear, and white embossing powders. A text stamp was stamped over the background to add some interest and the edges of the designs inked to soften the effect.

The brand new Simon Says Stamp Make Merry Release is so incredible! You may be thinking, "girl, where's the holiday cards? It's called, Make Merry." Yes, the release is jam-packed with holiday but there are also some incredible brand new fall-themed products that I couldn't resist! (I will be sharing all the holiday things, soon!) Be sure to check out my video from yesterday HERE featuring the brand new Deco Hat Gnome, Mushroom House, Good Cheer Stamps and Dies, and All Snowflakes Background.

All three cards feature a crackle background. I stamped the Reverse Crackle Background on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of smooth white cardstock with either Simon Says Stamp Fossil or Khaki Ink. I purposely picked a nice, light ink that would showcase the beauty of the fall leaves I'll be inking with Distress Oxide Inks.
STENCILING OVER A CRACKLE BACKGROUND WITH DISTRESS OXIDES
The fifth stencil was placed over the image and a thin layer of Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel in White was spread over the design for a shimmery, glittery effect!
The card was finished with a Trinity Stamps Coffee Bean heat accent and a scattering of gold Nuvo Crystal Drops.
This is the first of two blog hops. Be sure to check Simon Says Stamp Saturday the 10th for more inspiration!

The Lil Gnome was die cut from smooth white cardstock and Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Cardstock. The nose was colored with E11 and E13 Copic Markers and the beard, hair, and mustache were colored with W00, W1, W2.
The gnomes were trimmed so they could appear to be "peeking" from around the large boxed sentiment.
