The Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Limited Edition Exclusives Winter Crystals by Waffle Flower is NOW AVAILABLE while supplies last!
Today I have a couple of cards to share with you featuring one of my favorite easy elegant techniques: multiple colors of embossing powder for snowflakes! I combined white, silver, and antique gold embossing powder with greetings for this one layer design. A bit of embossed resist, splatter, and finishing pearls finish off these gorgeous designs!

It's a new week of STAMPtember and boy oh boy it's a good one! It's the release you've been waiting for, the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2021 Release for Simon Says Stamp! I did a bit of Distress Ink watercoloring and inking and stenciling for this one layer Christmas card design.

The images from the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2021 Release for Simon Says Stamp were stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The tree was stamped more than once to fill the area along the bottom edge.
With the solid moon masking stencil in place, Prize Ribbon and Black Soot was inked around the design with small blending brushes. No masking required! The Distress Ink used to paint the design will "hide" any imperfections!
The moon was painted with a light wash of Scattered Straw Distress Ink and water.
The trees were painted with Pine Needles, Peeled Paint, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks. I pressed the ink onto my glass mat and picked up the color with a damp paintbrush and painted the color onto the design.
Santa's Sleigh and Santa were painted with Aged Mahogany and Candied Apple Distress Inks. The reindeer were painted with Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. I pressed the ink onto my glass mat and picked up the color with a damp paintbrush and painted the color onto the design.
The entire background was splatted with White Gouache watered down with a bit of water.
Once completely dry (I let mine sit overnight) the "sparkly image" from the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2021 Release for Simon Says Stamp was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. A greeting from the set was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The trees were finished with Glossy Accents and Prisma Glitter. The sleigh was finished with a layer of Glossy accents for shine!

Happy Wednesday! It's been a minute since I've done a one layer tri-fold scene card and when I saw the brand new darling Toadally Unfrogettable Stamp Set and Build A Frog Pond Stencil included in the August Kit I knew I wanted to create this fun one layer design! This card does take a bit of masking prep work and quite a bit of coloring but the end result is so worth it!

Hello friends. I'm so glad you're here! Today I'm sharing this fussy cut Valentine's card and matching envelope using components from the Simon Says Stamp February 2021 Card Kit, Love You Beary Much. In the video below I'm sharing how to create a custom text background with a border stamp and a MISTI, how to eliminate messy edges from fussy cutting with a black marker, adding a bold stamped and embossed sentiment over a stamped background and more. Keep reading and/or watch the video tutorial for all the details.
*Note: Most of the products I'm using are also available for individual purchase if you don't want to purchase a kit. Yay!

Blue Conversation Heart: B01, B05, B06
Pink Conversation Heart: RV00, RV13, RV14
Truffle With Heart: R30, R32, RV06, E44, E47, E49
The heart was left uncolored and the image was stamped again on a Simple Stories Sweet Talk 6"x8" Patterned Paper (included in the kit) and all the images were fussy cut with scissors. The edges were colored with the brush tip of the fussy cut images with the N10 marker. This eliminates the ugly white edge. The images were adhered to the card as shown.
The conversation hearts were customized with phrases from the Simon Says Stamp Love You Beary Much 6"x8" Stamp Set and another phrase from the stamp set was stamped on the patterned paper heart with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Glossy Accents was applied to the heart on the speech bubble and nose on the bear. Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard was applied to the heart on the truffle. White pen detail was added to the images as well.

I'm creating a set of "one layer wonders" cards with this set and sharing how I'm using the Simon Says Stamp Crackle Backround, XL Greetings Stamp Set, and Tiny Words Support Stamp Set with the STAMPtember Set for a one layer card that doesn't appear one layer! I love finding ways to add interest to what can be considered "boring". These are anything but boring and are some of my favorite one layer cards!
There are very limited quantities available and it is ONLY available at Simon Says Stamp this STAMPtember while supplies last. The exclusive collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can.

While I had the stamps loaded into my MISTI it was the perfect opportunity to create more than one card! I simply switched up the color combos for the flowers on each!
The first layer of the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Exclusive Stamp Set is "Celebrate Our Differences" by Pinkfresh Studio flowers was stamped on a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of smooth white cardstock. Then the first layer of leaves, next the second layer of the flowers, and finally the second layer of the leaves. The stamp was placed in one corner of the panel and stamped on the background. The background was then flipped and the other corner stamped. What I love about this is that you don't have to move the stamp! So easy!
The color combos for each background are listed under the photos below.
The backgrounds were adhered to white top fold card bases. A single Funfetti heart was added to each card.

A light pencil line was drawn down the center of the panel to help line up the bells. The bell outlines were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. The bells were then stamped with Simon Says Stamp Watermelon Ink and Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers Ink. Details like the layering designs were added on top of the solid bells. I just love all the little details!
The greeting from the stamp set was masked with post it tape so each letter could be stamped in a different color to coordinate back to the rest of the design.
