Sunshine & Rainbows Card Showcase (Simon Says Stamp Make Magic Release)

Happy new release day at Simon Says Stamp! The Make Magic Release is NOW AVAILABLE and shipping! Today I have a set of six sunshine and rainbows cards featuring lots and lots of new products from the release!  Every card features a rainbow of some kind whether it's from colors or stamped images. Pops of black text, die cut shadows, and/or sentiment strips is the perfect balance to all of the color of the designs. Let's get started!

Tied The Knot Wedding Card with Matching Custom Envelope (Simon Says Stamp)

Happy new week, friends! Today I'm sharing this sweet wedding card with matching custom envelope! A tutorial using the Tied The Knot Stamp Set and coordinating dies was highly requested from the recent Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Release.

TIED THE KNOT CARD & ENVELOPE

Products featured:

SSS Smoke Cardstock was trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". A Simon Says Stamp A2 Masks was used to mask off the outer edge. Hero Arts Sea Salt Reactive Ink was applied around the edges for a soft look. Without removing the mask, the Simon Says Stamp Fading Hearts Stencil was placed over the top and the same ink was used to add soft white hearts to the background. I love this soft and pretty layered stenciled look!

Once completely dry, the "congrats" sentiment from the stamp set was stamped on the background with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The rest of the sentiment was stamped on SSS Slate Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment was die cut with a Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Label and adhered to the design as shown.

Images from the Simon Says Stamp Tied The Knot Stamp Set and coordinating dies were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish No Line Coloring Ink and colored in with the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers:

• Car: N45 Cool Gray 10, N65 Cool Gray 5, N75 Cool Gray 3, 990 Light Sand, 992 Sand, 491 Glacier Blue, 845 Carmine
• Flowers: 757 Port Red, 772 Blush, 800 Baby Pink, 296 Green, 346 Sea Green, 291 Alice Blue

The images were die cut with the coordinating dies and adhered to the design as shown. The license plate was stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. 772 Blush and 800 Baby Pink Tombow markers were used to color in the design. Hearts from the stamp set were stamped with a combination of Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers and Wild Rose Inks. The hearts were die cut, fussy cut apart and adhered to the card.

For the coordinating envelope, the components were die cut from SSS Smoke Cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp V Flap Envelope dies.

The Simon Says Stamp Fading Hearts Stencil was stenciled over the front of the envelope with Hero Arts Sea Salt Reactive Ink.

On the back flap of the envelope a sentiment and the heart trio were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The envelope was assembled as shown in the video.

The Mama Elephant Slim Scenescape Builder Creative Cuts Dies were die cut from smooth white cardstock. The sides, front, and inserts were inked with Lawn Fawn Artichoke Ink. The background was stenciled with Lawn Fawn Slimline Cloudy Stencils and Lawn Fawn Kiddie Pool Ink.

The box was assembled according to the video tutorial above.

The images were die cut with the coordinating Mama Elephant Flower Shower Creative Cuts Dies, Mama Elephant The Cats Meow Creative Cuts Dies, The Bunnys Hop Creative Cuts Dies, and Party Animal Creative Cuts Dies. The images were adhered to the pop up box as shown.

A panel from the Mama Elephant Slim Scenescape Builder Creative Cuts Dies was die cut from Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock and stamped with a greeting from the Mama Elephant Mixed Wishes Greetings Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Peacock Ink. This panel is the perfect spot for writing a handwritten note to the recipient!

A strip from the Mama Elephant Slim Scenescape Builder Creative Cuts Dies was die cut from smooth white cardstock and stamped with a greeting from the Mama Elephant Friendship Sentiments Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Artichoke Ink. The strip was adhered to the front of the pop up box.

When the card is flat it fits a slimline envelope!

Images from the C3 Coffee House Stamp Set and C3 Tea Time Fun Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish Ink and colored in with the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers:

Images from the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day Stamps and Dies and Lawn Fawn Bubbles of Joy Stamp and Dies and Lawn Fawn Happy Hugs Stamps and Dies were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish Ink. The images were colored with the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers:

• Mice: 977 Saddle Brown, 990 Light Sand, 800b Baby Pink
• Dandelions: 026 Yellow Gold, 020 Peach, 158 Dark Olive, 126 Light Olive
• Birds: 403 Bright Blue, 401 Aqua, 020 Peach, 025 Light Orange, 800 Baby Pink

The images were die cut and adhered to the scene as shown. A Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Thought Bubble Add On Die was die cut from Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil Cardstock and adhered to the panel. 

Greetings from the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day Stamps and Dies and Lawn Fawn Happy Hugs Stamps and Dies were stamped on the panel with Lawn Fawn Artichoke Ink.

The Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Die interactive circle die was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. A Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Thought Bubble Add On Template was placed over the circle. A Lawn Fawn Happy Hugs Stamps and Dies hugging mice image was stamped in one of the openings with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish Ink. The mice were colored with 977 Saddle Brown, 942 Tan, 990 Light Sand, and 800 Baby Pink Tombow Dual Brush Markers. The template was used to stencil the circle die with Lawn Fawn Butter and No 2 Pencil Inks.

Greetings from the Lawn Fawn Happy Hugs Stamps and Dies were stamped in the remaining openings with Lawn Fawn No 2 Pencil Ink.

• Flower: 933 Orange, 025 Light Orange, 296 Green
• Sign: 296 Green, 291 Alice Blue

A Simon Says Stamp Spring Bouquets Stamp Set  image was stamped on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Bristol Smooth Cardstock panel with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The image was colored with a combination of the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers and a water brush pen:

• Leaves: 245 Sap Green, 133 Chartreuse
• Pink Flower: 703 Pink Rose, 761 Carnation
• Purple Flower: 533 Peacock Blue, 620 Lilac, 025 Light Orange, 020 Peach
• Magnolia Flower: 757 Port Red, 800 Baby Pink
• Yellow Flower: 025 Light Orange, 020 Peach

The new Salvaged Patina Distress Ink was blended around the edges of the panel with a Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Pack Blender.

The Simon Says Stamp How Amazing You Are Die was die cut from vellum, smooth white cardstock, and SSS Slate Cardstock. The greeting was layered as shown and adhered to the card.

The card was finished with some heart embellies.

A Lawn Fawn Large Slimline With Sliders Die was die cut from smooth white cardstock and the edges masked off. A Simon Says Stamp XL Rose Bouquet Stencil was used with Distress inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Shaded Lilac, and Seedless Preserves and the brand new Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Pack Blenders.

The new Salvaged Patina Distress Ink was blended around the edges of the panel with a Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Pack Blender.

Mama Elephant April 2021 Stampede Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Mama Elephant April 2021 Stampede Blog Hop!

Today I am sharing this super sweet Koala Hugs card with matching envelope featuring the brand new Koala Hugs Stamps and Dies and Leafy Cover Creative Cuts Dies. Both the die cut cover frame and koala images were colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers.

The Mama Elephant Koala Hugs Stamps images were stamped on Arches Cold Press Watercolor Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jellyfish Ink and colored with the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers:

• Branch: 969 Chocolate, 977 Saddle Brown, 990 Light Sand
• Leaves: 245 Sap Green, 126 Light Olive
• Koala: N25 Lamp Black, N49 Warm Gray 8, N79 Warm Gray 2, N89 Warm Gray 1, 800 Baby Pink

The images were die cut with the coordinating Mama Elephant Koala Hugs Dies.

The Leafy Cover Creative Cuts Die was die cut from Arches Cold Press Watercolor Cardstock and colored with 245 Sap Green and 126 Light Olive Tombow Dual Brush Markers and a water brush pen.

A background panel was trimmed to 4" x 5 1/4" and inked with Hero Arts Splash and Pool Party Inks. The panel was adhered behind the Leafy Cover Creative Cuts Die.

The Mama Elephant Koala Hugs Stamps images were adhered to the scene. A greeting from the stamp set was stamped on the background with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with Cream Embossing Powder.

Trinity Stamps Hint of Mint hearts were adhered to the card as shown.

Images and greetings from the set were stamped on a Metallic Green Envelope with Cotton White StazOn Ink.

One Layer Wonders: Dandelion Messages (Simon Says Stamp)

Hello friends! The May 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, Dandelion Messages, is now available! For my first project(s) with this kit I'm sharing this set of two one layer cards with matching envelopes. The images were stamped with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. From the kit, I'm using the Lemon Chiffon Cardstock, Lemon Chiffon Envelope, White Cardstock, White Envelope, and Dandelion Messages 6"x8" Stamp Set. I love coloring directly on stamps and then stamping on cardstock for multi-colored images!

A sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages 6"x8" Stamp Set was stamped on Lemon Chiffon Cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The image was masked with post it tape.

An image from the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages 6"x8" Stamp Set was stamped on both the Lemon Chiffon Cardstock and Lemon Chiffon Envelope using the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers: 020 Peach, 025 Light Orange, 026 Yellow Gold, 126 Light Olive, and 245 Sap Green. 

The background was die cut with a SSS Basic Rectangles Die and adhered to a white top fold card base. Glossy Accents was added to the yellow hearts.

A sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages 6"x8" Stamp Set was stamped on white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The image was masked with post it tape.

An image from the Simon Says Stamp Dandelion Messages 6"x8" Stamp Set was stamped on both the White Cardstock and White Envelope using the following Tombow Dual Brush Markers: 020 Peach, 025 Light Orange, 026 Yellow Gold, 126 Light Olive, and 245 Sap Green.
